Rhode Island, USAI love how the player's page protocol works flawlessly for the entire mkw community. It's well thought out, simplified, and flawless. Except here, this is the only place you're required to buy a 200$ smartphone // capture card (plus storage space) to record long (multiple hours) and short videos. And thanks for removing my old times. I thought old times before a rule change happen are still kept.
It's also a fucking hassle, in many cases. Obviously, videos are necessary in some cases, but this is overboard now.

This is horrible. Horrible. We don't play to get to know all the fun little modes and shit. If you want to, fine. But this forces this. We can't be masters of driving or item usage anymore. It's now a mastery competition of fucking knowing which mode is faster. This requires test runs and shit. If someone beats my BKT using a different item set, for fucks sake, in my mind, they didn't beat me. what a lame chart. iff items should be separate. also, there's a glitch. if you click the 'filter' button under the misc. tab, it shows a list with the word "Items" over & over and over. there's also a 'show obsolete' button there which is weird because it's already in a Misc. category...
I just was playing mushroom cup no skips no items on wii. i am running it through CTGP, but with CTGP disabled. no custom tracks, no custom music, textures. vanilla mkw basically. this is what WR's are ideally set on in time trial mode nowadays.
I don't think the guy Menozen is playing on Wii. Either that or a usb loader, not disc. however, he claims he's playing on a wii with a disc. 
His 3lap times are all about 1.7 to 4 seconds slower than mine yet his entire run is only 2 seconds slower when it should be more. His loading screens seem much faster. His LC alone loads 3 seconds faster, although his IGT is at least 10 seconds slower.
so what's going on?

I'd like my "Skips" runs all into the "No Skips" category, please.
Better yet, I'd like them in BOTH skips and no skips leaderboard if possible, but if not, w/e.
I even noted in the description of my runs that these didn't use glitches, but they weren't moved once the glitchless charts were added.
Oh, and Star Cup only DOES use glitch.

OK, I get it, it's one thing to want to make vids for top times mandatory and make that rule change. But to remove all good runs without vids from before that time? Why? My ~#5 ranked time for 32 tracks was removed after being up there for nearly a year. You don't just remove old times before a rule was implemented - nobody does that! It's very off putting.

This is so useful for keeping track of questions. The notifications page on speedrun.com's main profile builder thing doesn't really help. Are these really just basic-basic forums with really watered down features? I'm pretty busy IRL right now, so I hate asking questions and then not remembering which ones I have to check if they got responded to / which thread they were in.
It's not practical to just check your post history every time because you cannot see from that page if others responded to you.
This is like the only forum that's like this (unless I simply cannot locate the options).

I've been waiting on King and Lafungo, the only moderators across 3 unique Mario Kart games to approve my runs for 19 days now and counting. Even Rookie is upset his legal run was removed 3 weeks ago and no-one has even been online to re-add it. I think we need 1 or 2 more mods.
It's not just that my runs aren't updated, it's everyone's. The entire competition and rankings are currently put to a 3 week unannounced halt.
I am also worried that their backlog of updates is potentially going to be so overwhelmingly massive when they return that they might just rapidly approve all of them to get through the queue quickly and lazily, possibly allowing for illegitimate runs to undetectably get passed through to the leaderboards far more easily. (Which is hypocritical when compared to their very strict attitude of banning legit runs because no vid)

As in, DLC tracks only (16 track itemless speedrun). Seems like it should be there, maybe it was forgotten? lol.
