I sadly don't know allot about the way how Twitch is handling that. But to "prevent" to have a muted Video, you can still record the Stream and up it on YT for example.
With that you can usually have any music in, since YT doesn't care about that too much. At least on my side here. It just tells you that there's Copyrighted music in and that's it. Video still works. You'd only get problems when you're YT-Partner.
Anyways, let's get back to the topic.
- No, I don't know how twitch is handling it. But, Twitch has a Library for Music that you can play, check out http://music.twitch.tv/ for their stuff.
- I sometimes do it. When I do it, I usually do it with Song-Requests or I play the music for myself with some Settings in my Music-Player, so the Stream won't capture it. It really depends on how you want to handle it. If you have some active viewers I'd try to do Song-Requests for such stuff, since then you have some variety in the Music as well.

First of all, hey there fellow Austrian ;D Anyways, the post above has quite some open questions imo.
- Did you install them (correctly)?
- Did you update these?
- Did you check the settings? I have an Elgato HD60 and it offers Options/Modes for custom input, WiiU, XBOX etc. You should use custom then since it's not a direct input from the Console.
- Are you sure the Drivers/Capture Card is compatible with your OS?
- Are you Admin/Do you have Admin rights on your PC?
- Are all the cables connected correctly?
- Are all Settings in the Converter right? I had a problem with mine, because my TV only supports 720p instead of 1080p, so I couldn't see anything on the TV. Maybe your Capture-Card/TV has same issues.
These might be some trivial questions, I know. But you can never be too sure and maybe you did forget something.
I kinda see it like PLD as well. The problem with Twitter is, you can't use PM's if they don't follow you, and sending a tweet offically to them is ... meh. Especially if the person doesn't watch their TL often. Then the Twitch-PMs are not watched by the most that often at all. I tried to get some Runners of a Game together for ESA. One answered like 2 weeks later, one didn't even see it till I tweeted on him (I only found his Twitter because of heavy research) and the other was on skype already, so no problem with that. But in general, mostly small streamers don't take a look at the PMs often at all, since ... who's gonna send them anyways? Happens to me as well.
A message system would be nice and easy to access for the most, since IRC is srsly outdated. I mean come on guys, it's not 2002 anymore O.o And to get people in Discord, Skype or wherever you first need to contact them anyways so it would be really nice to have it.
When you stream your Game, you usally have it recorded as well. You can either record it while you're streaming (In OBS, check some Settings and you'll be able to find it), or you can enable a twitch-setting which saves the stream online on twitch for some weeks (I think it was 4 weeks). In that time you're able to cut/"highlight" your run from the stream and it'll be made to a permanent video which you can also export to YT if you like.
As some people might already have noticed, I added GimMick and Division as Mods now, because they are runners and have been quite active in the last time (Discord, Runs, ...). For Dr. Helix, I'm sorry, but I think these two are enough for now, but when we get way more people running the game I'll come back to ya :) Hope you don't mind it

This is a Thread especially for the current Mods (Me, Socialspeedrunner, DVPShady and Kuru). Being Mod of a Game, means that we got to be active and try to stay in touch with the Runners, Help peoples out, work on/improve the Leaderboards and verify Runs.
Now to my Problem: It seems most Mods are ... un-interested in these things or don't have the Time for it. It's nice to see that the Community is active and improving strats and times, but handling it alone can be quite time-consuming, especially since I don't have that much time.
Socialspeedrunner and DVPShady were interested in becoming a Mod of the Game because the leaderboards were really horrible and WANTED to do something about it. In the end I made everything and they never or barely ever touched anything which is ... not the Point I guess? I also verify nearly every run now, since except for Kuru (who has not allot of time and I know that; He told me that before I made him Mod), nobody is actually doing that Duty.
So my appeal would be: If you don't care about the Game anymore, I'm totally fine with that and don't mind it. But then please let me know that and may give up being a Mod so I/We can take a look for new Mods. If you do care, then either be more active please or ... idk to be fair xD
That here shouldn't be a hate or something, I just want to have a clear view of this and get everything sorted.
If there're some People who'd like to be new Mods in case we get some places, then please let us know :)

When you can't get an answere there because noone seems to read your Thread there, try to contact a Moderator and tell them about your post in the Thread. They're surely able to help you out with this :)
I just told you that this isn't an ad platform so cool down. It's not like I insulted you or anything. And btw, if you'd have taken a look on the Forum for only 5min, you'd have noticed that.
How about no and don't use the Forum as a damn Ad-Platform?? This is a Forum to help out with Streaming, not to ADVERTISE them.
- Why do you make a Thread about it? Submit it as run, and when it gets accepted, then good for you. Otherwise, WHY?
- Like DrHelix pointed out, no timer? I don't know the rules for this Game, but you usally have a timer in the video.
- If this is just a Thread, to make people aware that you have made a run ... then please ¤sigh¤ just stop. Please. If everyone creates a damn thread to show off his/her run, then the Forums would be overloaded and full of nonsence. That's why the latest accepted runs show up on the Homepage. Why do so many people seek that frikkin attention?! Isn't there a Ruleset or something like that for this case? Can such "usefull" Threads get deleted or get marked as spam? Because it kinda is and is annoying to see imo.

That is just ... why? The "Run" is completely random. PvP isn't made and doesn't work out as Speedrun, simply because it can be manipulated very easily. Just image, that one of your buddies is in the enemy team and gets killed by you as often as possible, so you can get more EXP. That is just one possible way to manipulate it. The other thing is the consistency and how long you're gonna be able to "run" it. If you start to "run", for example your CoD in the BEGINNING, so when it's getting released or at the XMas sales. There're gonna be allot of beginners, which allows you to get way more EXP than later on. Another thing is, how LONG you're gonna be able to run it. Think about running the Game in ... 2026, so in 10 Years. What do you think how many people are there going to be that are gonna play such an old CoD. Maybe ... 100? Good luck finding a Game there, since they will be scrambled all over different Gamemodes again.
And all of these things don't only apply to your Game, but to all Online-PvP-Games. Way to random, inconsistent and no insurance that it's gonna be runable in X Years.

Am I the only one around here who get's really pissed of about these spams/ads/"notifications" about games to run? The Speedrunning Forum is already filled with it, which is getting out of hand imo.
When someone is interested in actually running a game, there's the search-bar, where you can see if there're runs yet. If not, you can request it. No post about such thing is required at all.

Are there also some plans to make a responsive layout for the Site? Because using a phone (Checking Threads, Runs and other Stuff) doesn't really work out that well :/
