I'm excited to welcome runners @Genii and @buckethead222 to the crew! Hope to see more of your runs soon!
Please consider making each point on the statistics graph link to WR runs. Since you're already grabbing details from the run to display on the graph, I know this won't be too hard to implement.
Edit November 2019: Thanks for adding this feature!
Yes, finally updated! I'm glad we have an active mod. Keep it up!
Maybe I'll try to grab that record from you at some point...
Unless this game gets more popularity, I plan on adding categories by request only. Please let me know if you'd like to run Hyper 1 or any other non-listed mode. Thanks!
Hey @jocloud31, this is a complex question. It really depends on which game you play. For the most part, older devices will have some method for recording screen and audio. While I've seen a ton of people speedrun games on old devices successfully, some lag due to processing speeds can make it hard to pull off glitches and tricks. Thankfully, some leaderboards have switched over to In-Game Timer to make up for time loss due to lag.
Yes, you certainly can!

It would be awesome if mods and users could watch runs frame-by-frame without using an external site. It would save loads of time for moderation. A run comparison page would also be useful, in which we could compare frames from two or more runs and search for splices.
I know implementing this will be hard, so -- CALLING ALL DEVS: If you feel passionate about this, please pick up this project. I'm almost certain the speedrun.com staff will put this low on their list, but it would be an instrumental tool for detecting cheating on the site.
Edit: I was informed that you can do this on Youtube by clicking "," and "." on a paused video. Twitch does not have this feature.
Other Edit: My friend SlushPuppy made an app that makes frame-perfect retiming easy with YouTube videos. Check it out, maybe add it to srcom resources: https://github.com/Slush0Puppy/retime

Hey @Kylovic! I was wondering if you could add InkBall to this series?
Here's more information: http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/inkball-game-download-for-xp-and-windows-7.aspx
The game itself is divided into difficulties. I would probably make a category based on reaching the default high score, which is 5,000.
If you'd like, I'm totally down to be a moderator!

The WR run uses arcade prehacks. As its not the original game (the game has added code to make it easier) -- it does not "technically count for any%" as the user suggests. Sorry, but that run should be deleted.
If its not the original game, you should make a separate category or page for it. It's not fair to other players to accept this run, nor is it fair to the creator of the game. Play the game as it should be played.
Any thoughts or counterarguments?

Unless it provides a significant advantage, we may not need to create a new category. Just be sure to mark "emulator" in your submission :)
However, if you do find there is a difference (less lag in one or the other), let me know and we can try something else!

It's a sub-category, so it doesn't allow a different timer option than other sub-categories it sits with. Speedrun.com is working on that fix next month :)
Ugh thas' sad :( Also I havent found a good block of time to verify it, but knowing you I should just accept it haha.
Hey! I've been looking for someone to run Barbie: Magic Genie Adventure with :) Technically its not a PC game, but it can be played on one as an emulator! Let me know if you're interested :D
@The_Munch Yes, totally fine -- your grains will still count! Once I verify it, one of your runs will become obsolete. In this case, since we currently have runs recorded by grain amount on a descending scale, the run with the least amount of grains will show up on the leaderboard.
