Also, it is allowed for runs.

@Quincy_85 you're probably referring to the AATool by DarwinBaker. The AATool is a light-weight, standalone program which, like you said, displays the progress of the advancements. To install you simply download and run "Setup.exe" or extract the zip file from the Releases page. Note that you may have problems if you aren't using the latest release. I would strongly recommend reading the "Installation" guide that DarwinBaker has on their AATool github page either before or while installing the tool. If you have any other general concerns about the AATool, I would recommend reading the rest of DarwinBaker's AATool github page. Hope this helps! :)

@Mara_Is_My_Dog I don't know exactly what you mean by making speedrunning simpler, but for game enhancing mods that are allowed, look in the rules. And for quicker and more efficient resets, I would recommend watching this video: It doesn't quite delete a world upon resetting, such a mod hasn't been developed yet. But this mod stores the worlds in a separate folder so the game doesn't lag when playing. Hope this helps :)

Don't confuse PogLoot with normal Any% rsg PogLoot is a totally different category which guarantees you insane loot, so no piper didn't hack, of course.

It's just a coincidence that piper's 9:48 2nd place PogLoot rsg run, not normal rsg, would have been 2nd place in normal rsg as well if it wasn't PogLoot. :)
Mod Rules • Optifine is allowed for versions 1.0 through 1.14 • Fabric Loader, and the CaffeineMC mods (Sodium, Lithium, and Phosphor) are allowed for 1.15+ • A few non-Caffeine mods are also allowed for 1.15+: Starlight, FabricProxy-Lite, Krypton, LazyDFU, motioNO, and Voyager • If you use Optifine, please read the detailed mod rules at http://bombch.us/DOOK • All other mods are banned

Please run on vanilla if you do not need a mod to improve your game performance

• In addition to client mods, the only mods allowed for servers are the speedrunning-approved mods running on a Fabric server, such as Lithium, Phosphor, and Krypton. This means no Paper, Spigot, Bungeecord, Bukkit, etc, even if you don't have any mods or plugins enabled.

Absolutely not, read the mod rules, please

DenmarkNymsan3 years ago

Yeah, it's allowed, no problem

you'll see runners using it all the time and I even asked Elysaku; said it's totally fine
If mods don't have the time to verify runs because they're too busy irl, they need to add more.
Yes, this is correct. I 100% agree with this

But I don't see why you quoted me and I think you missed my point; moderators have a life beyond speedrun.com and don't need to spend every second of their day verifying runs, and this is acceptable. But to very rarely verify runs and having runs wait months before finally getting verified, that's unacceptable, hence why I said that mods are very inactive. So my point that mods have a life beyond speedrun.com STILL stands, but my point that the mods are too inactive also still stands, and the last part is unacceptable.

And yes you're right the rules are clear; if mods can't verify runs in 21 days or less, add more!

Just clarifying :)

DenmarkNymsan3 years ago
but being honest i have saw faster verifications times (based on quantity of runs) in games that doesnt realy have 25 mods lol
Yeah, this is because having a fast moderation isn't really that difficult, the moderation for this game just sucks

@TheeCortexCrusherYT please stop commenting about necroposting when they genuinely helped, especially when the poor guy never got an answer in the first place. I commented about the same thing in this thread, and I'll just quote myself from there:

...
I understand there's a culture and tendency of commenting about necroposting when it's done on the forum, but stop commenting about helpful responses that are of value, despite it being a necropost. I also understand there have been cases of necroposts which are of no inherent value, and in those respective cases commenting about them is understandable. But this is not one of those cases! They commented something which is genuinely of value! So to exclude people from genuinely adding value to a discussion is not okay, and it defeats the whole purpose of a forum which is to exchange questions, ideas & thoughts.

Also sorry for the somewhat negative attitude, it's not meant to be taken personally nor to attack anyone. I just wanted to make my point clear.

@TrenttheN642 you're right when saying that moderators have 3 weeks to verify runs, but the reason for them not doing so isn't because this game is an exception. It's definitely not an exception. It's understandable though that moderators often use longer than these 3 weeks to verify runs for the simple fact of moderators being volunteers & having a personal life beyond speedrun.com. But the reason for the slow moderation isn't because of popularity, it's simply just terrible moderation.

For more about this I would recommend reading these two threads regarding the same topic: https://www.speedrun.com/mc/thread/b3xap https://www.speedrun.com/mc/thread/csw8l

If anybody's curious, you can find the queue here (excludes category extensions): https://randomidiot13.github.io/queueclient-web/ just search "mc" and click "Fetch Queue".

You'll find that the oldest submitted unverified run, as of making this at least, was submitted on the 5th of June, 2021. You'll also find that Illumina's 10:53 run is quite far down the queue.

This document has detailed rules about resource packs: http://bombch.us/DOOK And according to this document using crosshair changes is banned and will get your run rejected on a first offense.

So no, you can't, sadly.

I'm sorry for spamming a bit here, my apologies, but I'm just going to copy & paste the timing rules here instead of just forwarding you. This is much more convenient! :)
Timing Rules Runs which are not sub-13 in 1.16+, sub-20 in 1.9-1.15, and sub-23 in pre1.9 will be timed with igt.

Runs which are sub-13 in 1.16+, sub-20 in 1.9-1.15, and sub-23 in pre1.9 will follow a stricter guideline for pausing, retimed by us as follows: The first 5 seconds of each settings change pause are not timed. Pauses directly after an initial load into a given location are not timed. You may request other specific pauses be untimed so long as you provide a reason, the length of the pause, and its timestamp. Some reasons may include mental health concerns (such as panic attacks), irl interruptions which couldn’t be reasonably avoided, and other reasonings that involve things that are beyond the runners control. The pause must also make sense for the reasoning given, e.g. if you have short and frequent pauses and your reasoning was an irl disturbance and asked to remove all of the pauses, it may not be accepted. If the runner believes most of their pause time would not be counted under this standard for a run not meeting the threshold, they may request a retime.
DenmarkNymsan3 years ago

Also please do read the detailed rules about timing if you have any concerns in the future. :)

DenmarkNymsan3 years ago

You're allowed to pause when travelling between dimensions for this exact reason. This would also be the primary reason for chunks having to load in the first place, so therefore yes, you're allowed to.
