I think as long as you move right while jumping into a block (while going above it) you can trigger the wrong warp.

I know last reply was 5 months ago but here's what I found out. You can play 1-1 on ANY emu (Bizhawk, FCEUX, NesTopia, any version too!) All you have to do is press A and START at the same time.

I'm confused on what you're talking about because the only stairs in 8-4 are at the very beginning. This is the 2nd room we're talking about.

@ArtismScrub After looking at the first post on this thread, pretty much you're saying that people who have never speedran No LBLJ 16 Star are not allowed to speedrun that category for the rest of their lives? Well that's stupid. AND, you're also saying that only players with really low times are allowed to run that category as well?

So this is what you're saying:, Out of the 117 runs on the board, if you plan to run the category again AND have already ran the category, you MUST get in the top 36 on the boards, or else your run is disqualified EVEN if it's 100% legit. This is the worst thread I've seen yet!

I think having this category is a great idea! I wonder how this category wasn't added when the Marihour and NES Warpless Trilogy categories were added. I wish I could speedrun that category but I'm only good at NSMB DS. XD

After looking at the statistics of this game I found that the latest run is from 2 days ago. So this game is DEFINETLY not dead.

Just a thought, then I'll stop. I think that all levels & worlds should have their own level leaderboard. Just saying.

They should at least add Minus World NES version to the main leaderboard..

I both agree & don't agree. I mean, it makes sense to me to have that category on the main leaderboard, but at the same time it doesn't. I don't understand why there isn't at least the USA Minus World on the main page.
