The forum was dead for a year until you replied, please don't necro. You can't share ROMs here so you'll have to ask somewhere else.

Owen, you're thinking of 12:00am, which is midnight, 12:00pm is noon. I know it's weird.
That doesn't matter. Posting links like that aren't allowed on this website.

There's already a 2 week old forum thread about a tournament, no need to make another one.
Between 2017 and now, approx. 500 people have joined the SMB1 community. Since when I started, there were around 300 any% runs, and now there's 800.
Our community is growing fast. :D
When I started running (April 2017) 100th place was around 5:13.
Just try to find the fastest route for each level that's in your comfort zone. That's all I can say.
If you haven't submitted runs to the leaderboards and haven't ran for a long time then likely not.
Levels and Worlds had their own leaderboards years ago. But they were removed. I believe it's because of how many runs that would be submitted and the timing. But you're not gonna get a leaderboard for Levels and Worlds anymore on SRC anyway. I think people have made documents as IL and IW leaderboards.
@AidanLGamerTV instead of making several posts, could you try editing one post and posting all your information as one? My inbox was full of your messages.
Why? That's pointless unless there's a category extensions page, but that still wouldn't make sense.
Like what @WolfAttacK said, it's not recommended for a new player to try out very difficult tricks. My PB is 5:01.621 and I don't use FPG or BBG, I only use wrong warp. I suggest wait for those tricks until grinding for a 4:57.4 or lower. If you're not familiar to the game you're running, then it will be hard to get all the glitches.
FPG: You'll be more consistent to getting a good completed run than reset on FPGs most of the time. According to @Bismuth 's first WR Analysis video, the best players ( @Kosmic , @somewes , @darbian , etc.) only get it 40% of the time they try.
BBG: For BBG there's a setup which requires bouncing off of certain enemies that will be challenging to new runners. You also need to wait several seconds on the title screen, which can be really irritating. If you didn't do the setup, you'd be lucky to get the shot.
4-2 Blazit: Only 2 people have done it in runs (as far as I've seen), which is 0.24% of the Any% leaderboard. I'd recommend waiting since it requires good subpixel position and tricky inputs.
