I suggest you get your Twitch channel verified first if you want to add some changes to your account. Because sometimes if your account is not verified, Twitch will not recognize your channel.
Its okay to leave the section splits.io blank. There will be no problem when you upload it to the platform you want. You can leave split.io blank don't worry too much. 🙂
I agree with @Sizzyl, it's better that while you're playing, record the game simultaneously. After the recording, just upload it to the platforms where you want to share it on, such as Facebook, YouTube, etc. Of course there will be times when you encounter problems while recording your game. Maybe it’s an issue with the Vods system when uploading, I hear that Stream labs also requires significant memory. In my opinion, OBS Studio is still the best for recording runs.
Based on my experience, OBS Studio is perfect for screen recordings, including in-game streaming. :)
It will depend on the game developer's perceived goal. Some games will be denied because the developer's goal isn't clear, or as you said, endless. For speedruns, you need a clear end goal or finish line.
Hi guys, I have a friend who wants to try speedrunning his game, but I don't think his PC will be able to accommodate the game and the streaming. So I was wondering about what's the MINIMUM specs requirement for a PC to at least get a smooth speedrun for a game, say Mario or Minecraft?
Just a thought... some mods can affect the gameplay, if it'll be able to adapt it. Because if you want to change some aspects of the game like what players can do in GTA 5 (that has many mods available) you also need to be aware of how it can affect your run. So you still need to check the effects of the mod to the game. You also risk a virus or malware on your PC when you use mods. Or it can destroy the game. About being allowed a speedrun with those mods, it's best you get opinions from that game's community.
Change your perspective. Instead of having the goal of just finishing the game, have fun. You know how when you're having fun things feel like they end too soon? Also, it's important to pick a game you're invested in, one you really like, so you don't get bored of it and then it became stressful.
There are times when a game has a built-in or programmed cheat for those who want to play other modes for variation (to not make the game repetitive or boring) to encourage more game time, such as Minecraft where you can use the cheat "creative" or "survival" mode. But it is up to the player if he wants to use the cheats. On the other hand, if there are available cheat codes players can find online, it will be up to them if they consider it cheating or not. A player who wants to think he didn't cheat even when he used cheat codes will find every excuse for what he did.
If it's a matter of morality or just appreciation for the developers, when developers say they don't like players using the cheat codes, then using cheat codes for their game is disrespectful. There's also the matter of players boasting of finishing a game early or with high performance but they actually used cheats.
For me, the best way to play any game is without the cheat codes because that's the only time you'll really feel proud of yourself for finishing the game as is. After, you can use cheat codes to discover any easter eggs or just to make the gameplay more interesting.
If you intend to continue using these bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo, then I think you can just mention it alongside the other description of your run. If the devices affected your gameplay, like there are some lags or you managed to play faster, then you can highlight the keyboard and mouse. If not, then simply mentioning them is enough.
I'm kind of confused as to what type of game you're looking for. If it's something similar to Minecraft (which I don't think has a real ending, less you mean killing the dragon), then are you searching for games that don't have a specific goal?
The other games you mentioned ask the player to achieve certain goals so they will have the same map/missions and they may even follow a certain storyline so repetitive playthrough is expected.
Are you looking for games like Roblox or Fortnite?
I agree with @output.
In my experience, it's better to use OBS Studio especially if you're saving money since it's free and allows collaboration (open-source.) If you want to record your own montage plays or to take a video of yourself while streaming/gaming, go with OBS.
Just make sure that it's compatible with the system in your mac.
I will have to agree with @happycamper_. If what happened to you was because of a lag, some will find it amusing, but for sure, some will also find it "unfair," in a sense. I hope you get what I mean. But if it's not something you planned to happened, I don't think you should think too much about it. But yes, you should at least let the mods know so they can do something about it, if it's not a part of the game.
