Shovel Knight Momodora: Reverie under the Moonlight Celeste
People run score attack games all the time, with the goal being to reach a certain number of points as fast as possible.
Games with an excessive amount of autoscrolling, or, autoscrolling only.
Visual novels are typically terrible for speedrunning.
Games that have a lot of RNG but are short, making it so that getting the "fastest" time means just resetting a thousand times per hour (see minesweeper and other such things).
Rhythm games probably lack the ability to be played quick as well.
Can't think of anything else atm.
SDA used to be the place to go. Now SRC is the place to go.
Though there is some info that can be found on SDA that is STILL useful.
tl;dr
SRC isn't preventing you from speedrunning. speedrunning has existed before SRC.
Yeah I think there's some misunderstanding there. Perhaps the link you provided no longer works.
Hello, good morning, and good day to you too.
If the mod rejected your run for that reason he should be removed as a moderator.
No one's arguing whether or not viewing ram values outside of a run is allowed
But during a run? That's a different story.
You turn the NES mini on, pick a game, then play it fast.
Some people turn on noscript without messing with it I guess.
So SRC lets me use an adblocker?
Good.
