it is an unvalid category, as playing solo you can't have a party, as, well, you are playing solo lol that's why there is an N/A in the category, with no more runs
it exists there because of how SRC works, where you can combine both kind of subcategories (in this case, the party choice and the game mode choice) in the way you want; they can't just delete the solo+party combination without deleting one of the subcategory for all of the other modes, if that makes sense
they both work exactly the same p much, just changes that ofc the 2ds doesnt have the 3d mode ability but that doesnt affect the internal gameplay at all so yea
@lottsy HOOOLD UP so your submitted runs of sub 11 are the ones legitimating you over the rest?
shame on you lmao
@lottsy lol even if none of them has actualy submitted they can give their ideas for keybinds for what is the best for them and what they are confortable with, even if they haven't done an speedrun with it yet doesn't mean they can't have an idea of what can work better for optimal gaming (which follows to be better in speedrunning) There is no objective "best" for something like this, so everyone can contribute with something to test
You went very rude straight up saying everyone responding has no brain. And btw a lot of the example binds i've seen in this post kinda follow the structure you explained so yeah
rip i wouldn't realy spect it to be subjective depending on the verifier lol
Well if you look at the "recent runs" at the left, those are all of the most recent runs, so is not that death lol (they are ordered by submission time)
You could be suprissed still that there was no new run in over 1 month now, but is not realy like that: think that there are a lot of runs pending that wont show there, we know for fact that runs take a lot of time to be verified on this leaderboard So it realy isn't "death" by no means
is there a multimario category that requires mario odyssey 100%? because i thought they mostly required allmoons
basicaly removing just the load time from the point where the axe is touched to the point where the console is reseted? without affecting the time from the new boot up
not sure how realy works reseting on the NES, but the WR of 11x any% is an original NES speedrun and definitely does it quite efficiently
If anyone somehow reads this, i realised that some of the troll moving blocks can be missing
First, I was playing on this web: https://www.unfair-mario.com/ One of the first ones that pops up searching, and it has both a moving troll block in level 1 and a moving troll block in level 2
However, watching to the WR play ( https://www.speedrun.com/httpplayunfairmario.net/run/zp4jd4vz ), I realised that, while he has the block in level 1, the block in level 2 just doesn't exist in his run, for some reason
After that, looking at this forum, I got into this web: https://www.numuki.com/game/unfair-mario/ And, to my suprisse, this version does NOT have the block in level 1, which was in both the previous versions; however, it DOES have the block in level 2
Im wondering which comes to be the specifications on this topic, because the block of level 2 is the most annoying one and the one that would be cool to remove if possible, making any other run nowadays slower unless we get what version was the WR playing at; rn it just seems like i can't avoid losing that time over the WR, but I might find another version that changes that
welp thread kinda died xd
@JoeTheBrooo console can reset their consoles the exact same way than emu players, there is no disadvantage there
@LiamTrader he is alredy talking about 11x any% lol
well if you allow it as fast as possible, it is actualy hard to beat the game well at an extremely fast speed, you can't just play the game at x60 because no one is capable of playing it so fast favorecing it to be as slow as possible, it is a category where you can insert 1 frame every 5 seconds, something anyone can do
the best would probably be just marking a limit in both cases with some logical sense but, fairly enough, there is alredy a PAL subcategory for the mane categories of the game, so there is not a lot more to do there
also, is true that l+r isnt realy that important on the general side; very most of the runners wouldn't use it at all even if it was allowed alredy in the main category, it would realy only save some few frames if used well in 8-4 and at a top level; and turbo is basicaly a way of making the clips a lot easier
yea frames metric is not a good idea but i would see a 75 fps category lol
- connect the switch with the hdmi input of the card
- connect the hdmi output of the card to the monitor
- connect the usb of the card with the PC
- go to PC's OBS and select the capture card
@Bananaboii lol read the message he wrote, he does alredy have one
I would first look for a category that allows both of the characteristics describe (console and controller aditions), it would make the most unique category
Im also not sure about the "counting by frames" system, but either with IGT or RTA, it would make more sense to basicaly allow legal console releases that would be possible to ahve without having to do a manipulation of emulator; i know there is a console for NES games with up to 75 fps, which would make for an extra speed category, and the slowest refresh i know is something under a little 50 (take PAL for about 50) If you count it by frames and allow any framerate, you can just play at 0.1 fps and easliy reproduce by yourself the exact inputs of a TAS without any effort (besides it being extremely tedious for most of the people lol)
