Ok, to me it still seems a bit anti-speedrun to remove a game mechanic which speeds things up, but I can understand if people are already invested in level runs without it and don't want to change.

But since nobody seems interested in running the full-game campaigns under the current rules, and it takes a long time to run without F12, couldn't it be considered to allow it at least for the full-game categories?

Personally I'm not too interested in level-runs, I find full-game runs more enjoyable. And I'd be interested to run, but without F12 it seems like it would be too much unnecessary waiting.

I understand using ingame for individual missions, but wouldn't RTA be easier for full-game? No having to add up the individual times, just hit your splits each mission. I'd have thought most people would find Livesplit more convenient for this, hence why it's the common method people use.

Why was F12 forbidden? It seems contradictory to the definition of Any%, considering that it was a game mechanic in the Standard edition game. The game has built-in scenarios, with fixed locations and defined objectives you need to complete. This is effectively the 'campaign' of the game. I feel like the canonical Any% of the game should be to complete these scenarios. Rather than the current one which is just Sandbox mode.

Ok I have take over from previous mod, and completely rewritten the rules and categories.

Let me know if anything ought to be changed. I kept the old Tutorial 101 level for posterity, however I am thinking that perhaps the tutorial levels should be discarded because they are pointlessly short (one of them is literally click one of the research buttons to win). Instead, there is a Tutorial scenario category which makes more sense.

@HexTree - Could you do a run of your proposed Any% category first? There are definitely a lot of issues with that leaderboard that need to be resolved, but we don't feel super comfortable adding you just based on the one run in the 10-11 second long category.

I would like to take over as Super-Mod for the Big Pharma page ( https://www.speedrun.com/big_pharma ), for the following reasons:

• Current Moderator has not logged in for 1 year since he first created the page. His run videos have disappeared.
• He has not responded to posts and messages, and has no social media contact details.
• No rules have been defined for the categories, and categories have only been added for the first 2 individual levels, whilst the game has 48 levels in total. So we can't really run the game as-is.

I do have a WR run on the leaderboard. As Mod I would intend to overhaul the categories and define proper rules.

There are no proper Any% categories, only individual levels (and only 2 of them at that).

The canonical Any% would be to have a Leaderboard category for each full scenario (Tutorial, Beginner, Intermediate, etc).

Surprised this category isn't added yet, it seems like the most obvious canonical form of 100% that involves playing the actual game. Campaign on its own is a bit lacklustre and doesn't capture much of the game.

Definitely you should enable the full-game leaderboard too. I might like to run this, but I usually prefer full-game runs.

@Liv thanks for adding me as a mod for https://www.speedrun.com/play_with_the_teletubbies , however I think I messed something up a bit in my first mod actions. I edited the category rules and sub-categories, and doing this removed the WR run that was previously there. I can't find that old run in the audit logs to add it back, and I don't know the guy's username so can't contact him. Is there a way to restore it?

Hello, I would like to request leaderboard moderation for Play with the Teletubbies https://www.speedrun.com/Play_with_the_Teletubbies

I have submitted a run which has been pending for 3 weeks, and have made a forum post 6 days ago.

Current mod was last active on this leaderboard 4 years ago. And has not been online in 7 months. Looking at his links, his Youtube channel no longer exists, and Twitch channel inactive for 3 years, no other contact details available.

Also, Ball Blast category could be added to the level boards

Looks like a fun game to have a go at Any%. However, despite being speedrun-optimal, easiest difficulty seems way too boring to play on (the AI is atrociously bad), so I think no runner will be keen to attempt the Any% as-is.

Might I suggest adding an additional 'Any% Mega Nurf' category? This requires you to to play on the hardest difficulty. I think I'd be more encouraged to run it on such a category. :D
