Greetings to all new & and old dungeon quests speedrunners alike.

All of the changes that have been updated before will now be merged into one post here instead of separate. This is to now make the forums a bit more cleaner so that every time there won't be filled with hundreds of sticky threads. Every time an update to a website or game-related change has been updated will be put in this post. You should get a notification whenever a new post is added here.

Unfortunately, we are not accepting any mods at this time. Our runs that get notified would usually have a few to sometimes several runs a week. If we have a huge amount of runs and if it gets busier, then I will plan to have a verifier application fill out a form sheet or so whenever if the site is really active with loads of runs. Let us know if you need anything else.

@fullofhay Their nothing much that can be speedrunnable because other users who would have better parts would create something very fast to begin with. It can only have up to the treasure chest and that's pretty much the gist of it.

@marioker The submission would either be most likely be rejected or not so you'll have to contact Quantum about it.

There are only a few games that can be speedrunnable in nostalgia zone so it may either vary depend on how me and the other verifiers will stand their decision. You should get a notification if your submission has been accepted or not. Let us know if you need anything else.

I am not currently looking for mods at this time. There was someone named @Clippey that I did had to accept to show new stuff because this is his first monitoring a game. If either one of us does decide to leave, I will accept into this or if the game does get busy with submissions.

Update for mod positions:

@MaxDragonSoul will still continue to be the main moderator for MFO. On top of that, give a warm welcome to @BaconsOwnTheUniverse for becoming a verifier on the team.

Also on MFO 2, @Clippey the world record holder for MFO, will be moderating for me in the sequel as well. Keep in mind that I will be continuing to moderate the sequel until 1000 stages.

Hi everyone,

I was normally going to post this earlier during the summer but I wanted to let you all know that I will be stepping down as the main super moderator for Mega Fun Obby. This experience from my first moderated game has led me to become of me knowing the surroundings of how the procedures work on the website and the steps provided to make the game a better place. Normally, this game has some ups and downs that didn't expect to meet, but it made the players who speedrun this as much as possible for a great experience. Before I'll pass on the torch to someone else, I would let you all know about a few of the changes on this site and the new category called Item%.

1. New changes now follows that the Game Rules have now been added, along with the 220 IL stage that I added in the past few months. For those curious about the ILS may not be completed for god knows how long, unless if the stages provided to the owner are fully renovated or so.

2. I've added a new category that will be located in the misc category near Portal% called Item%. This will feature the same stages as you did in your speedruns but include items this time with no skips. This also includes pretty much the same rules as well.

Fan-games that are being submitted here are ok to be acceptable as long as they depend on the quality of the game itself. Many other tower games are technically fine because of so many variations. If a fan game does have stolen assets; it is not allowed but might be inspired and not copy and paste.

Update:

I've seen that all of the runs from yesterday weren't moved to the correct locations. I have done a quick check and that all the runs should now be accurate located for the difficulty% and + categories. Let me know or one of the mods if you have any concerns about if anything was missed. Thank you, and I'll be posting my update regarding difficulties and a few new rules set for next week.

It begins at every 5 stages for the ILS. For Example: Timing starts at 5 and ends at stage 10.

I understand that you don't have discord or twitter. Your best bet is to send him a direct message by clicking on his profile on the speedrun site if you have not done that already. Let me know or one of the verifiers if he has responded or not.

If your submission has been notified yet or not, you can always forward it to quantum through messages on discord or on the site. He normally would get the game submissions through an application to see what runs are acceptable or not.

Unfortunately, I do not know an actual schedule on what is submitted and accepted to the site. Usually, It would take up to a week for game(s) to be submitted to the site depending on the number of runs their are.

There is no rule stating about dieing from mobs/bosses from starting with or without hardcore mode. Remember that in-game timers don't count.
