Hey guys, so when I donated I uploaded a pic to make my Custom Icon, and now nothing I do will let me change it. I reverted back to the coin just bc Im sick of the other one. Anyone know how to upload a new custom pic?

Why anyone would expect runs with no sound to be accepted in such a hotly contested game is beyond me lol

Yea pretty sure showing splits isn't required, only a complete video w/ audio, i.e. console being turned on + a reset and then audio.

Resident Evil 3 for PC allows you to skip the cutscenes AND the door loading sequences (and afaIk is the only RE to let you skip both). Watching good RE3 runners is fun bc its just non-stop movement and dodges. You do have to perform a fair bit of menuing, but it can go fast if you know what you're doing. Lol

I'd be more interested in if you can explain to me why RE2's Dual Shock version is faster than non-DS ;D

Hey Furry what brand/model is the laptop you used? I've found a couple different models with those specs, I'm just curious what you have.

Oh yea I forgot that with the flame rounds theres only really one projectile and the odds of missing are better (especially if you're me lol).

Thanks for the responses Roof, I was doing the explosive rounds tactic, but now that I can see it done with flame maybe I can spare enough to try that. And for the elevator, doesn't sound too difficult so hopefully I can get it down :)

Wow really Furry?! Dang, if I can do this on a laptop then that makes this SO much easier/affordable. I can run Biohazard 2 on a laptop with no issues then? Could you maybe suggest to me the barebones specs I'd need to basically just play BH2 and also capture PS2/Gamecube? From what I've read it's an i-5, like 8gb ram, and either Windows 7 or 8, bc 10 can have issues. But Idk how accurate my findings have been. Like I said, I'm computer illiterate (Idek what GPU means).

Hey guys, I have a few questions, and seeing as how 80% of the most recent posts are from me I figured I'd condense this down to one post lol

Anyways, does anyone have tips for how to fight G4 with Claire? I know apparently you can run to left to the corner of the tubes and get Birkin stuck jumping, but I haven't been able to find a video of anyone accomplishing this, and when I tried he ended up grabbing me from above and glitched me above the tubes (stupid asshole lol).

Also, how does one do the elevator trick in B scenario (for Leon, if it makes a difference) where you can stop him from moving to the center of the elevator in the lab? And also the variation where he reloads? Havent been able to replicate this trick. Thanks in advance guys, finally moving on from Leon A and need to be prepared.

First and only time I cried was when Meryl died in MGS1. I got close when Ada "dies" in Resident Evil 2, but lookin back I don't think it actually got me there lol

Maybe I can make a Twitch channel sometime next year though if I start running a wider selection of games. Right now its just Resident Evils and some random SNES games. Lol

Oh yea I should probably have mentioned that at most all I'll be recording is the gameplay and occasionally my splits (bc it's required for RE2, and I think 3). Like I said I'm not doing anything TOO fancy, I just need to know a good PC to capture PS2 footage so I can submit some barebones runs for verification, as well as a PC that can handle games as graphically stout as RE2 and 3. Hey gang, so Im looking to acquire my first PC this Christmas (I know...28 years old and have yet to own my first computer...its tragic! Lol) and am having some difficulties knowing what exactly to look into spec-wise for what my needs are. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

I dont plan to be doing anything too crazy, I basically just need a set-up that can capture PS1/2 & Gamecube runs, and also can handle running some older PC games (stuff such as Resident Evils 2 & 3, maybe some SNES emulator stuff for fun). I already know the monitor and capture card I want, I just need help deciding what actual PC to get that's cost-effective and can handle these basic tasks, bc as I said it doesnt need to be up to running games by today's standards. Just games from like 2005-6 and can capture my console runs without issues.

A bit embarassing to ask a question like this, but as Ive said in these forums previously Ive never been big on PC gaming, so Im a little PC ignorant when it comes to terms/jargon, specs, models, etc etc. Thanks in advance for the help! Greatly looking forward to finally capping some runs and getting on the leaderboard's top 10.

Maybe I'm mistaken then, I think I heard that bit about the dogs in one of Carcinogen's videos, one of his recent commentary videos. Idk enough personally to know if it's true or not lol. I think what Carci was saying was only from behind that the dogs didnt have a kill animation programmed, so by turning towards a wall/corner you could scrape by alive.

Ah yes, I should have mentioned I am playing the US version (I don't own any JAP games currently) so the bites deal 2 more then as well. I just need to man up and improve my dodges and this won't be a factor! Lol.

Also, something cool about the dogs, they only have a kill animation programed from the front of your character, so if they deal a lethal blow from behind it won't kill I believe. Haha

Again, the point I was making and question I was asking is being glossed over in favor of starting something with somebody lol :/

I wanted to know is there additional criteria for verifying a WR beyond having someone verify their OWN WR (just bc it seems kinda weird to me, and from some of the responses above, I'm not the only one). I think I've gotten my answer though, so consider my inquiry closed :) honestly if I could just delete the thread myself I would, as this escalated to a degree I didn't intend. I won't be asking a question such as this again.
