I'd need to see what that looks like. On PC it shows a limited number of items so you can only buy as many as listed. It'd likely need to be debated by mods though and potentially community too. Please share a video if you can :)
I checked some runs on people's profiles and it shows them having a top 3 time despite being anything but. People with a top time have accurate "trophy images" on their profile pages for their runs but other people have random trophies.
Bug?
I'm currently in Japan with access to the Japanese cartridges and have a few of the English versions if you're interested.
The slingshot route can be used on 1.4.0 or prior. I don't know what the current mobile version is though. I'd ask in the Discord #tech-talk. Not sure for answers though, since nearly everyone is on pc.
Just a quick little update on rules/requirements for runs.
Smapi isn't allowed when playing - it removes most of the load time between saves. Since the current leaderboard goes on RTA, having a recording of just IGT won't be approved. The load remover in Livesplit (generally) works to do the job of Smapi by pausing the timer on sleep loads.
Any video submitted needs at least 30 fps.

Perfection change - The allotted time with breaks has been changed from 4 irl days to 2 weeks. Also, any run over 40 hours doesn't need to have video. That means if you think your run may be under 40 hours, you should record from the beginning like any regular run.
The allotted 2 weeks still allows for you to continue past that, just keep in mind that you aren't allowed the pause the timer after that.
If you just search twitch for Piano/pianoaddict (something close to that) you'll find his stream fine. A few others do use it sometimes like Lichatton.
For videos/vods, I'd suggest just going to their stream and asking there. If anyone has an idea of which vod it'd be it would be the streamer themselves. Piano might also demonstrate it if he has the free time. Generally though should try digging in their stream history for anything labeled clay farming (or Joja)
I think there is a better one Piano found. I'd suggest checking out his Discord (or streams) or joining the SDV Speedrun Discord to ask about it. Information is often there or can be asked about. Clay farming info is often passed on through streams (I learned from Bulltg's youtube video).
You can use regular farming methods as well to get the money needed (using sprinklers). I did clay farming mostly because I just wanted to try it and see if it would be viable.
Sorry for the last response Ralph, I was did 2 Perfection runs back to back so was preoccupied lol
Your year of play with (no) results just depends on what you're doing in that playtime. It can be down to some natural skill, but I'd be curious to see what skills you thought you didn't improve much on. Sometimes receiving feedback on a run can help tell you how to improve. I always saw what others did in their videos and I took some of those ideas to my own play.
With what you say for "need help understanding", like Ethan said, join the Discord and ask :) if someone can catch you in a stream and comment as you play that is sometimes better than just commenting on watching a video. Live feedback/feedback you can practice right away/remember is useful. Example - I watched a clay farming video from Bulltg and immediately went to practice it. It's easy to read something, think you understand, and then not know how to act on it (without some sort of practice put in).
Spam clicking your mouse is faster than just holding down the Left Click for tools yes. And as Ethan said, animation canceling is a different beast.
And thanks bailez :) I like yours as well :)
And as Ethan said, animation canceling doesn't necessarily mean you'll be faster than without it. Good routing (and rng) are often more important than animation canceling alone. Example being my 50 mines vanilla being faster than most people with animation canceling. Or some vanilla CC runs that are far far faster than my own glitchless run XD
Generally for consoles you dont need to worry about a timer. It's nice if there is a way though. Since the switch lite is only handheld, it'll be hard enough getting the basic recording.
Yeah, when many runs are being verified it's easy for a run to be buried/pushed out of the recent runs thing.
Ah, for android you can't do much for timers, especially igt. Igt is limited to only pc players (no console/phone). Phone is perfectly fine to do runs on, but if you want "competitive" times I'd suggest trying to get the game for pc on a steam sale.
- This kinda helps, but doesn't show everything since I already had some of it downloaded. In future, try joining the Discord channel since you can get help much faster (and there are other resources there) :)
edit - Also, you don't need to have igt, but it is nice to have.
Yeah, that's why everyone loads in a save or makes a file first when they start their runs to avoid that large load time on the first load of the game. Any time you open SDV you have that long load, so you need to do this every time when you first boot up the game.
There are votes currently happening in regarding to additional categories. Also, there's only one person that's done perfection within the current main leaderboard rules. So based on everything up to now, there has been nearly no one that even does these runs with current rules.
But as Ethan said, soon.
Also, I'd advise doing some runs yourself to see what Perfection or what other actually take.
First and foremost, thank you all for your votes and ideas! Second, please welcome our new verifiers - Terpretor, Ethan, Mathias (Minoret), and Squirrel 🙂 They have been knocking out many of the recent submissions 🙂
Now, some new categories have been selected, but we still need one more round of votes to finalize others. Please read the description of the survey before you start 🙂 Please vote on what your favorites to run/watch. You do have limited votes this time.
