Sorry only just seen this comment - yeah I think the biggest imperfection in this particular run is the nade throw into the study which doesn't get any kills, apart from that there would need to be a significant change to the route. However I haven't messed with leaving the downstairs guys alone, as you'll be aware there's around 8-9 kills you can get in quick succession and I can't currently see any benefit to giving those up - they also need to be dead before you go upstairs for the remaining spawns to be within a reasonable distance to you. I think there are some maps where spawned-in enemies will teleport closer to you if you ignore them but Villa is probably too small for that to apply.
As someone who modifies their FOV I'd say it's pretty important to allow it. The default FOV is nauseating to use on PC if you're used to any games which allow you to raise it. It does give you an advantage over console users, but I'd argue keyboard and mouse is already such a huge advantage over controllers that it doesn't matter. Modifying files for a more objective advantage such as raising damage values would theoretically be possible without ever touching the FOV values. It's pretty simple to do if you follow this guide which could be linked to on the game page here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1423146825
I'd appreciate these being added as well.
