Tips and Tricks

Starting Boost:
• Press accelerate when "3" appears, and keep holding until you receive a boost!

Gems:
• Collect 20 gems, then you will get an free boost.

Ramps:
• Jumping when you hit a ramp will result in you getting much more height.
• If you drift while in the air, you can turn sharper.

Drifting:
• It is possible to brake while drifting, you will still build boost while doing this. So it is possible to stay in place until you get a red boost!

Dirt:
• If you drift regularly in the dirt, it will eat at your boost. However, if you drift after landing on a boost pad, you can build boost.

Collision:
• Walls and posts eject you if you happen to be inside them. If you are jumping, you get a greater velocity.
• If you jump before hitting a hazard (Example: Ghosts in whispering gardens.), you can clear walls.
• If you ram into the top part of a post, it will bump you upwards. If you do it fast enough, you can get great vertical height and distance. (Example: Rooftop Hop)

Experimental Tricks (These are tricks that are so far, unpredictable.):
• Super Jump - When you launch from a ramp, it is possible to get a high regular jump when you land. This does not seem to clear walls, though.
• Crazy Ramp - If you somehow squeeze between a wall and a ramp just right, you can get ejected violently. If you survive, when you you touch another ramp, you will suddenly shoot off again.
• Dirt Drift - There seems to be some methods to drift in the dirt without a boost pad. But this is so far, unpredictable.
• Double Start Boost - The AI has been reported to be able to do this. So, it's a possibility that players can do it too.
