Has there ever been a category for fastest time to pull the Goblin Summon item? I just started a file and got it in my very first battle. 12 mins in without skipping intro. I’ve gotten it before but that feels insanely fast
Nope, that's a ridiculously hard pull in the original and none of the rest of the games are memeing hard enough.
Just picked this run back up. I have not at all been going for a speed run but I’m at 15 hrs. The only thing I’m missing is Adamant, bomb, cockatrice and mind flayer. I might try a true 100% speed run and see how low I can get it with everything. I’ve 100% it many times but never tried to do it quickly. My very first run as a kid In the 90s I had over 200 hours but the first time I beat it I had literally a perfect 100% and at that point there were no published guides. I just wandered around playing it THAT much.
I actually got a second goblin in this run. That’s a first. I’m thinking drop rates must be way higher for Pixel
I think one of the early patch notes had an increase in drop rate due to the achievements offered on certain systems. Trying to get Platinum would suuuuuck with the original SNES rates.
