I’m using OpenEmu on Mac. First time I’ve run it with Super Mario 64 it ran pretty well. That is until was doing the Bowser’s Sub star in DDD. Once I swim out of the tunnel and it renders I consistently drop frames until I get the star. Any solutions for this or is this something I have to deal with?
is there a setting called counter factor on OpenEmu? i know nothing about it
if there is set it to 1
If you are using mac chances are you are using openemu If thats the case settings cant be changed and since the computer your using clearly has hardware limitations you will need to learn lag reduction strats.
sorry if this is necro but
"isn't pj64 1.2 the only emu legal?" @gamingzooba for the love of god please don't spread misinformation, lemme get this straight 1.only allowed version of pj64 is 1.6 not 1.2 2.openemu and mupen64plus are also allowed emulators (for mac/linux users) 3.it literally tooks me less than 10 seconds to find this: "Allowed Emulators: Project64 v1.6.x OpenEmu (for Mac users) Mupen64Plus (for Linux users) All other emulators and versions (such as Mupen64 and Project64 v1.7 & v2.0+) are banned."
next time, actually read the rules or join the sm64 speedrunning discord instead of spreading misinformation
