Streaming with CRT TV

So, i want to start streaming my mario 64 runs, I play the game on N64 with a crt tv, and i use a gvusb and cable splitter to have the gameplay on my pc, which i then stream, however my crt emits a high-pitched sound that is picked up by my mic, and i wanted to know if there was a way for me to keep my mic from picking up the high pitched feedback from the tv?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

That high pitch is also known as 15Khz whine. If you can find a way to EQ your microphone output, either through a 3rd party program or via an OBS filter, you can take out all sound matching a 15Hz audio range and that should do the trick.

Thank you so much!

I forgot to mention, the only other alternative I'm aware of is for if you happen to have an NVIDIA Graphics Card you can utilise the NVIDIA Broadcast software (with 30xx series or above) or NVIDIA RTX Voice software (with almost any older NVIDIA card).

Happy streaming, hope all that helps!

Not sure what streaming software you use, but OBS has a built in noise cancellation filter that works really well.

Replacing Expiring Twitch VODs

If you wish to replace your twitch highlights with reuploads, please edit your already verified run rather than deleting the verified run and making a new submission. This makes it a lot easier for us to track which submissions are reuploads and should be less work on your part as well.
