I wanna start speed running, but I can’t be competitive because I only have The JP N64, American Wii, and Wii U releases, and switch online, but the best and the one where players can compete competitively is Japanese Wii VC, but I want to LEGALLY get the Wii VC, so please help me

I second this, I'd like to try my hand at the any% category but the only viable way to compete against WR is via homebrew, yet it's not allowed from my understanding? Unless I read the rules wrong but yeah, it'd be nice if you guys considered allowing it if it's not already.

Homebrew is allowed (since the majority of us run on NA Wii's with JP OoT).

Yeah Wii homebrew has been allowed for years and years, it's the only reasonable way to obtain VC at this point. We even link to softmodding resources in our discord server. Out of curiosity what from the rules gave you the impression it's not allowed? @MissRaven

@CountLG The section about VC-Specific rules. States 1.0 and 1.1 injects are banned, but now that I looked again, I completely missed the part about IOS9 (I'm an idiot sometimes), that alone should have told me homebrew is allowed. Lol sorry for the waste of time.

@MissRaven No worries! Yeah the part about 1.0/1.1 injects just means you can't inject those versions into VC because they were only ever officially released on N64. Obtaining vanilla VC (which is 1.2) through homebrew is perfectly fine.
