I submitted a personal best run 4 or 5 days ago and still hasn’t been authenticated. I spoke to another runner who says he has many pending runs awaiting approval. Is there a problem with moderating in this game?
I know when you submit the run it says that the verification can take up to 3 weeks.
Coming back to this. I think it's wrong that my resident evil run which lasted for over 40 mins can get verified within 48 hours yet my not even 13 min street fighter speedrun has been sitting for days sith no update. My pb even before this sat for 4 or 5 days with no update. Especially comparing the amount of moderators.
Taking a week to verify a sub 13 run is a bit much. If all the mode are THAT busy, let someone else in?
Before I became mod, it sometimes took over a MONTH to get one of my run submissions approved on here. Your run has only been waiting 4 days. You'll be fine.
I don't think they were trying to say anything about you exactly, we all have other stuff going on after all so it's fine - but I do think we really could use a few more mods, particually if there are alot of active runners as the case seems to be - myself included. It would also look better from the outside to know that mods arn't verifying their own runs because that's generally seen as shady practice. It's also strange that the SF speedrun discord isn't linked with this leaderboard so I don't think it's too surprising that communication is difficult right now.
Personally, I'd love to apply myself if you're looking for more mods. I've been a mod for some other well known games for a long time so it's not something unfamilliar to me. Whatever you decide, I'm looking forward to seeing how the issue is handled because there's clearly alot of investment from many different runners and I'm excited to watch the community grow and compete together.
You are correct that I am currently taking on a lot right now. Managing two separate Twitch channels and taking care of all my domestic responsibilities while being the only active SF mod is undoubtedly going to cause delays in the verification process. If it becomes too overwhelming, I may reach out to the community for assistance.

Andy, what Habble mentioned is spot on. I wasnt having a go at you specifically and I'd like to apologise if it came across that way.
You do have you hands full, but so does everyone. I have a full time job, I'm in a committed relationship and I have a son, not to mention any social obligations as well.
I'd lso like to put my name forward as a mod or even to offer assistance (as you mentioned) in lightening that burden.
