Proposed Category Changes

These are the categories that came up during discussion. Please say something if you have a problem with them, or they'll be going into effect, sometime before the end of the week. Regular Categories Categories to remove/move - Small rule change; Any% rules will be changed to allow the timer to stop at the knockout screen of the devil or when you accept the devil's deal. It was always allowed, but we're making it explicit. - AB Menu Glitch will be removed. The regular runs will be moved to Any%, since they follow that ruleset. Suprisingly, most of those runs actually beat the current WR. The other runs will be archived. - Instead of having 100%/200%, we'd have a Full Clear category (name is WIP) where we'd have a difficulty subcategory seperating the two.

Consolidate All Bosses Glitchless into All Bosses. Any glitches, with the exception of menu glitch, that can be performed in the respective patch would be allowed.
- This consolidation would eliminate redundancies in our current category set and the difference between patches.
- It would be what we're operating under now, with the addition of minor glitches (which don't save but a few seconds each) and Beppi freeze
- Distinguishing the categories in this fashion essentially works the same as a division between Major Glitches and No Major Glitches, without the debate over what constitutes a glitch and whether it is major or minor
- The existing legacy glitchless runs will be merged with the glitched legacy runs, while the existing glitched current patch runs will be merged with the glitchless CP runs.

**Suggested categories**
- Simple 100% (jason)
- Simple Low% (me) (if made, all runs in One Gun - Peashooter will be moved to Low%, retiming)
These simple categories could provide a nice entry point to beginner runners who want to try cuphead and these categories out.

Category Extensions One Gun - Ban legacy - Remove Peashooter (too similar to Low%)

Runs in categories that will be banned will be archived under Miscellaneous. You won't be able to submit to these categories.

What does "Ban Legacy" mean for One Gun?

The legacy / CP subcategory will be removed, leaving CP as the only accepted version for it. Legacy runs will be archived.
