I'm gonna bump this for a question I have.
I was looking at the race for Starfox 64 that was done on AGDQ this year and it got me wondering something...
Half-boosting. Is that a viable way of getting through our Arwing sections faster? I've done it myself in my own speedruns of SFA (though it was before I knew what half-boosting even was) because it always felt a little faster. When you half-boost/or use most of your boost in SFA and let it charge before boosting again you can wind up ahead of certain enemy ship cycles.
I think that's something that should be tested if it already hasn't been. Getting through Arwing bits faster would be nice.
Hey, I read more above about the problem with the gate in Lightfoot Village (I have the solution beacause I had this problem xD). The only problem is where you walk. There is and specific zone in the path that if you pass for this zone, the game loads the gate and this trolls you when you went to Lightfoot Village to take the 3 spirit Krazoa. To do it right you have to pass to the right of the path :P and before you arrive to the gate, skirt the scrub that it's in front of the gate. I think this really works (at least on me) .
This might not necessarily be a speed run question but I saw this was the most recent Star Fox Adventures thing. In the Walled City both of the Redeye teeth are placed but the gate is still closed and Tricky's dad says "The sacred teeth must be returned."Anyone know how to fix this?
In speedruns, the teeth are skipped entirely. Playing the game normally, if both teeth are placed in the statues, the gate should open.
