This is a mod that helps you prevent accidental use of cheats. When the mod is used and you press a key that would activate a cheat, this key press is ignored. E.g. if you enter DDDDDDDAAAAAADWD, the cheat won't be activated and the last "D" is not evaluated, which means CJ can't move to the right until you press a key other than "D".
It will disable cheats for the specified GTA process until GTA is closed. The mod should work with v1.0 and v1.01, but I only tested it with v1.0

this is a mod, can not be used in speedruns.
Someone tell me a good reason why this bullshit should be modded out but other bullshit should not.
Why not edit out random planes so that they don't crash? Why not patch some seemingly random crashes?
Will this block my keyboard's D input, or block the D input in the game?
For example, if I input DDDDDDDAAAAAADW ingame, then hit alt tab and go into notepad, will I be able to type a D?
edit: I dont think it will matter anyway thinking about it, but Im curious to know how this works anyway.
@cooller, explain why it isn't a good argument please. You just said it isn't, but didn't come up with a reason why. Why would fixing X be okay but fixing Y not? What makes this different from other cases?
You will not convince me but you might surprise me, so go for it.

@coollertmb because dinput (mouse issues) and ginput (controller support) are fixes for the game. d3d9.dll forces the game into windowed mode so that you can actually see your splits and so when the game crashes you don't have to restart your computer (at least that's what I've had to do when I play fullscreen but that's besides the point). The MP3 randomizer only touches the radio station, which I suppose would be a player's control to change the station, but still. What this mod would fix is player error (typing keys in by accident). While it may be completely by accident, it's still a player controlled error (like CJ falling off his bike).
Sorry but i don't think simply pressing the keys you actually need to press is a player error. (maybe not to but it's just WASD)
I'm reluctant about something like this being allowed however, but wouldn't mind it either way.
Okay rules are no cheating correct? So this blocks out all cheating so in all it's blocking something that is against the rules and now you don't have to be worried about people cheating. This should be implemented because it's 1. Not hurting anything 2. Preventing something that is against the rules and 3. Stopping the stupidness of WASDing
Honestly tell me what harm it does? If you can give me a good defense then I'll leave it alone but mods need to review this.
I am baffled. There are bajillions of ways people could cheat. Without looking the least bit suspicious.
We rely on people not being cheating pieces of shit. Cheating is if you submit to a leaderboards that has rules - you do not agree with entirely - but you do not stick to them. Do not submit to the leaderboards if you do not like the rules. There is no other solution when people disagree than to just use the most popular (it is more complicated, I guess) opinion and turn it into rules that everyone has to abide by.
Actually, we could make a variable. sPuke
We have the option to put the mod on the "Allowed mods/fixes" list. The rules aren't set in stone anyways, if something makes sense, it can be added to it.
The only reason that I don't like this mod is that there are other ways to avoid cheating accidentally without a mod, like rebinding WASD to arrow keys (either in-game or using AHK or something), or pressing Q or E occasionally.
But anyways, some runners seem to like it, and it definitely won't make your run faster, so it could be an option to use this fix if there is a vote about it or something, I think that makes sense. Especially that you can't notice that this mod is running, so people can use it anyways, so why not make it legal at this point.
Bonazzoli what are you talking about? Typing WASD in a specific order is absolutely an accident, as it usually does not give a large advantage in gameplay.
I accidentally used the orange sky cheat during a tags attempt. S recently lost a 100% run in SF due to an accidental cheat. Crook was on excellent pace and lost a run. http://www.speedrun.com/gtasa/thread/y0rx6 Are these not accidental?
Probably coming from person who thinks "HESOYAM" is an intended cheat for money, health and armor.
The GTA:SA community has been deteriorating over a long period of time. Many top runners are not currently present on the leaderboard. This issue has not been seriously addressed yet, but an attempt will be made to remedy it now.
As of this news post, the San Andreas leaderboard will function in
