Hi, I think it could be cool to add some categories in the leaderboard. For exemple, each type of disease can have a categorie, to avoid seeing only Neurax Worm , and same things for each difficulty.
Also, I don't know if having both x1 and x2 speed is very useful, like Lethal% (I don't really understand this category).

I've been running the game for only a few weeks, and it could be way funnier if we didn't have only one category subdivided into three.

Could be nice to have categories like Bacteria%, Virus% and so on for every plague.
Mega-brutal% could also be very nice, since it would actually be challenging.

I would also love to see a Days% category, which would consist in finishing the game the fastest but using the days in-game counter. I'm quite proud of my 176 days on my 1x PB and would love to see a category for it :3

We could have a leaderboard like this :
- Any%
......- x1 speed
......- x3 speed (x2 speed is uninteresting)

- Plague% (replace Plague by a disease)
......- Casual
......- Mega-brutal (Normal and Brutal are very similar to Casual and Mega-Brutal)

- Maybe a Co-op% ?

For Days%, I don't think it's in the spirit of speedrun.com, because in real time it could be very slow, and there is already an in-game leaderboard for speedrun.
Also, if we add, add and add categories, there will be too much of that (imagine for each disease a Casual%, Mega-Brutal%, x1 speed, x3 speed, Days%, a mix of Casual and Days% etc...).

I understand your point there. It's true that speedrun.com is highly focused towards real-time, so Days% is quite irrelevant.

I think having a Casual% and a Mega-brutal% for every plague could be very fun, and that would allow speedrunning in every aspect of the game (even though Neurax Worm Casual is current Any% xD).

Co-op% could also be very nice and challenging in a different way, because we would need a real strategy, and that's twice more execution which needs to be perfect 🙂

So I guess we can agree on deleting 2x Speed, then adding Casual% and Mega-brutal% for every plague.
And of course not forgetting Co-op%, event though only one of the two runners will post the time on speedrun.com. I think just being credited is fine for the other runner.

I have one questions about Level Leaderboard runs. When I running this, I don't use a "Modify Genetic Code" in game (in my Bacteria% Casual run for example). But i notice, that player "Yoruzakura" in his Virus% casual run using it.

I know, it isn't mention in rules, but it has big influence in final time (in my opinion)

So my question is - it can be or cannot be used it in runs? (maybe I'am just stupid 😃 )

Of course you can, and you should, use Genetic Modification to improve your virus. Just look at the rules : "No restrictions" 🙂

(except using cheat I assume)

why not put all the virus/disease in level leaderboard, and full game as all diseases (with difficulties)?
