# Coast Boats

Normally, the Super Smash is needed to hit the button that moves the fish net into position so you can swing on it and jump to the line of boats in the background of Coast 3 and collect the snacks. There are various methods that can be used to reach these boats without the Super Smash though.

# Crypt 1 Cutscene Skip

You can skip the cutscene that plays after entering Crypt 1 with a Death Abuse by running off the edge near the entrance. The game will stop Scooby from moving before the cutscene, so you need to enter the level and move in a specific way to make sure Scooby travels far enough to fall off the edge.

# Pier 3 Tar Strats

The tar covering Pier 3 prevents Scooby from running or jumping while on it. In order to navigate the level faster, you can jump between objects on top of the tar like barrels, lamp posts, or the crabs. These strats can also be used to reach the platform with the Ghost Divers and collect extra snacks before or after obtaining the Springs.

# Wreck 3 Strats

By climbing up different ledges and pieces of collision on the walls, you are able to reach the Moody Ghost Monster Token at the top of Wreck 3 and the door to Wreck 4 without using the fans. This saves time and allows you to traverse the level without the Umbrella.

🍪 Black Knight Early (BKE)

Depending on the run, Black Knight Early is a trick that allows us to reach the Black Knight Monster Token or the Black Knight boss fight without going through the Attic levels. We are able to jump across the gap in the stairs and around a few invisible walls to reach a small piece of collision that we can Super Smash onto. From there, we can jump up to the top of Cower in the Tower.

🍪 Creepy Early (CE)

Creepy Early is a skip that allows us to reach Creepy 1 by hitting the load zone in the secret passage in Shock 2 without needing the Super Smash to break the boards that are blocking it.

## Woodpecking

Woodpecking is a slightly slower, yet easier method for jumping from the wooden planks to the rockface under the shortcut to Creepy 1. In this method, the jump timings to avoid hitting the death plane are a bit more lenient than in the original version.

Building off of the Woodpecking method, Board Rage is an even faster and easier method for jumping from the wooden planks to the rockface. 🍪 Fishy Skip

Fishy Skip allows us to reach the Coast and Lighthouse levels without needing to go through Fishy Clues, thus avoiding the 450 Snack Gate. There are two parts to this skip: Pier 2 Void Warp and Coast 1 Keys (Fish Cringe)

# Pier 2 Void Warp

In Pier 2, we are able to do a Void Warp by clipping under the water. This teleports Scooby to the intended entrance of the level which, in this case, is the door leading to Pier 1. Pier 1 is also the level you end up in after traversing through Fishy Clues. From Pier 1, we are able to access Coast 1.

# Coast 1 Keys (Fish Cringe)

Since we need the Helmet to obtain the Super Smash, we have to be able to warp back to the Coast levels later. We don’t use the Warp Gate in Fishy 4 because that would force us to pay the 450 Snack Gate that we are trying to skip. The only other Warp Gate we can use is in Coast 3. To reach it, we first need to unlock the door at the end of Coast 1 by clipping into 4 boxes to collect the keys. For the box in the middle of the room, we have to use the Fish Monster to help us clip inside.

🍪 Green Ghost Skip (GGS)

One of the biggest and most difficult skips in the game, GGS allows you to skip going through all the Misbehavin’ and Crypt levels as well as skip fighting the Green Ghost. In Lab 1, you are supposed to have the Umbrella to float up this fan and reach the ledge. Instead, you can jump up a series of invisible walls on a pillar in the corner of the room and then jump across on one of the Bats to reach the platform. There are a few ways you can do this:

# 2-Jump GGS

A more consistent setup for GGS known as 2-Jump GGS is the most commonly used. This method skips jumping on the first invisible wall that is used in the 3-Jump method and goes directly to the second one instead. The video below showcases it.

# Out of Bounds GGS

Even though this method is not as commonly used as 2-Jump or 3-Jump, it is possible to do GGS by clipping out of bounds, jumping up a series of invisible walls, and then clipping back in bounds.

# 1st Bat Cycle

In addition to GGS, there is a harder bat cycle that can save 2-4 seconds if achieved first try.  Below is an example of it with the 2-Jump GGS.  Essentially, after performing GGS on your first try, run up against the railing a little bit, and then time your jump so that when the bat is flying in direction, you can bounce off of it and perform 2 extended jumps, followed by a ground pound to make it to the platform.

# Electricity Skip

After GGS, we now have to complete the main Lab 1 room, aka the Electricity room.  The floor in this room in Lab 1 is electrified, so touching it will kill you. You are intended to ride the moving tables over to 2 buttons on each side of the room. The buttons activate the blue lamps hanging across the room so you can jump across them and get to the balcony where you can push a button that turns off the electricity. There are faster ways to get around the lab however.

Currently, the most commonly used method, used by all top runners is Rail Jump.  An example can be found below.

With this new route, we run across the railing, grab the snack box by the crate, and walk on specific parts of the table that do not have death properties.  Once you are at the end of the table, jump on the antenna at the left, and then double jump toward the railing at the top, near the button.  If you fail it, you can hit the electricity, and use the invincibility frames from the damage to try again.

There are a couple other methods.  This one is riskier, but with practice, can be done consistently.  It can be beneficial depending on your snack totals.  You walk off the railing, perform 2 extended double jumps, followed up by a super slam.  I highly recommend practicing with the electricity off.

**Safest Method:** You can jump along the railing and then over to some boxes at the end of the lab table. The lab table is electrified as well, so you can’t touch it either, but there are objects on the lab table that you can jump across on. You want to reach a curly-shaped test tube and stand on the tip of it. From there, you can jump up onto one of the hanging lamps.

🍪 Lab 2/3 Skip

To reach the 850 Snack gate and the door leading to Mastermind Unmasked 1, you usually have to go through Lab 2, push a button to raise a platform, go through Lab 3, and then jump across to the walkway with the 850 Snack gate using the platform you raised earlier. However, there are a few ways you can skip all of these steps.

## Lab 2 Skip

At the end of Lab 1, there is one door to the right and another door to the left. If you take the door on the right, it will lead you to a room with an acid pit. This room is directly under the walkway to the 850 Snack Gate. From here, you are able to jump above the door and use pieces of collision on the walls to reach the walkway.

## Lab 3 Skip

If you take the door to the left at the end of Lab 1 instead, you will end up on the other side of Lab 2. After running through the corridor with the Space Kooks, you will enter the main room of Lab 2. From here, you can access Lab 3, but you can also reach the walkway leading to the 850 Snack gate by jumping up pieces of collision on the walls. It is possible to jump up the walls on both the left and right sides of the walkway.

🍪 Redbeard Skip (RBS)

Up above this room in Creepy Crawlies 2 is the entrance to Lab 1. Normally to get up there, you need to get the Soap invention from the Basement, which makes Bats spawn here. You Soap the Bats and then jump up them to the entrance. (We call it Redbeard Skip because in order to get into the Basement intentionally, you need to fight Redbeard and get the Gum invention.)

You can skip doing all of this by jumping onto the box in this room and then jumping up invisible walls. There is collision just above the box and on the wall below the door to Lab 1. This can be done with or without Umbrella.

**Cutscene Skip:** When you run into this room, a cutscene will play showing the entrance to Lab 1. You can skip this by Charging into the room and touching the Magnifying Glass as the cutscene starts. This allows Scooby to move during the cutscene, but the camera will still pan to the entrance. Runners used to attempt RBS blind while the cutscene played, but it was discovered that you can just jump towards the wall under the entrance to Lab 1 and it will reset the camera back to Scooby, completely skipping the cutscene.

In this trick, we are able to clip through the wall blocking the entrance to Mastermind Unmasked 2. As a result, we no longer need to save Shaggy and wait for him to remove this wall.

# Mastermind Phase Skips

## Mastermind Phase 1 Skip

In Mastermind Unmasked 2, instead of pushing the button to enter the Mastermind boss fight, you can clip through the wall instead. Then you can push the buttons inside this room to initiate the fight. This brings you directly to Phase 2 and skips the intro cutscene.

## Mastermind Phase 3 Skip

After defeating all the enemies in Phase 2, you need to push the buttons again. After you hit the first button, wait 5 seconds before you push the second button. Then you can go back to the first button and push it again once it pops up. This tricks the game into thinking that you have beaten Phase 3 as well and will take you directly to the final phase with the Mastermind.

# Ship Skip

There is a shortcut in Wreck 1 that leads directly to Aghast 3. This shortcut is usually unlocked by entering it from the Aghast 3 side, but there are a few ways we can access it right away. This allows us to skip all of the Ship levels and reach the Redbeard fight faster.

This tutorial explains how to do one method of Ship Skip where you Super Smash onto the mast next to the shortcut and then jump over the invisible wall that is blocking it off. This method can be done with or without the Umbrella.

# 750 Skip

In order to reach Redbeard in Shiver Your Timbers 2, you are intended to pay a 750 Snack. However, to save time on collecting all those snacks, you can skip this gate and go directly into the Redbeard boss fight. You can do this by jumping on a broken wood piece above the shortcut to Wreck 1, then jumping onto collision on the side of the boat, and then charging and essentially clipping into the side of the boat so you can jump up some more invisible walls until you are on top of the boat.

Then luckily, there is a hole in the deck that allows you to get inside the boat. There is nothing inside it, so you need to float all the way to the back of the boat and jump up some more collision. There is a door that you can climb up to and you can actually reach the trigger point to enter Shiver Your Timbers 2 from here. This is possible with or without the Umbrella, but the Umbrella-less method is slightly different. Be careful not to use the Super Smash while doing this skip because it can cause you to softlock as you can get stuck suspended in the side of the boat.

This video showcases 750 Skip being done without the Umbrella. (Time Stamp 32:04) For this version, you want to keep the diagonal camera angle instead of the straight-on one. Any camera angle can be used for the version with Umbrella.

# Fred Clip

To finish it off, we have Fred Clip.  Once considered difficult by many, now fairly consistent.  Previously, we would simply save the game and reset the fight.  But, it is much easier to hold the D pad, hold R, and then jump on the left corner (similar to Shark Skip).  You will usually make it within a few attempts.

General Tips:
- Hold R the entire time.
 
Steps:
- Jump on the arrow sign
- Single jump into the crevice between the pointy rock and the wall
- Once you get your double jump back, jump out then back in to get on top
- Hold cleanly left and jump to get on the invisible ledge
- Start charging in a left direction
- If you get stuck or fall be sure to keep on the darker part of the rocks or get back there by jumping
- When you're furthest left (keep going left until you can't anymore), jump on the invisible wall collisions until 
  you're on the level's ceiling 
- Run back where you came from but on top of the level
- There should be a little tunnel visible, jump onto that and go to the end of it.
- Run (not charge) and jump off of it in a clean left direction as far as you can go
- If you did it right you should have bypassed the death plane and be at the entrance to skull cliff 4
