Ship Skip

There is a shortcut in Wreck 1 that leads directly to Aghast 3. This shortcut is usually unlocked by entering it from the Aghast 3 side, but there are a few ways we can access it right away. This allows us to skip all of the Ship levels and reach the Redbeard fight faster.

Tutorial

This tutorial explains how to do one method of Ship Skip where you Super Smash onto the mast next to the shortcut and then jump over the invisible wall that is blocking it off. This method can be done with or without the Umbrella.

Example

This video shows another method of Ship Skip where you jump around the cliff underneath the entrance of the shortcut and then clip into the load zone or on top of the ledge. This method can also be done with or without the Umbrella.

750 Skip

In order to reach Redbeard in Shiver Your Timbers 2, you are intended to pay a 750 Snack. However, to save time on collecting all those snacks, you can skip this gate and go directly into the Redbeard boss fight. You can do this by jumping on a broken wood piece above the shortcut to Wreck 1, then jumping onto collision on the side of the boat, and then charging and essentially clipping into the side of the boat so you can jump up some more invisible walls until you are on top of the boat.

Then luckily, there is a hole in the deck that allows you to get inside the boat. There is nothing inside it, so you need to float all the way to the back of the boat and jump up some more collision. There is a door that you can climb up to and you can actually reach the trigger point to enter Shiver Your Timbers 2 from here. This is possible with or without the Umbrella, but the Umbrella-less method is slightly different. Be careful not to use the Super Smash while doing this skip because it can cause you to softlock as you can get stuck suspended in the side of the boat.

Example

This video showcases 750 Skip being done without the Umbrella. (Time Stamp 32:04) For this version, you want to keep the diagonal camera angle instead of the straight-on one. Any camera angle can be used for the version with Umbrella.

Fred Clip

To finish it off, we have Fred Clip. Once considered difficult by many, now fairly consistent. Previously, we would simply save the game and reset the fight. But, it is much easier to hold the D pad, hold R, and then jump on the left corner (similar to Shark Skip). You will usually make it within a few attempts.
