[Community Vote] Potential additions to the Glitch Categorization

We are currently holding a vote regarding the possibility of adjusting our Glitch Categorization on our Community Discord

There has been a discussion regarding adding a possible adjustment to the Glitch Classification System we use (NoOOB / OOB)

First thing there has been an idea regarding retitleing of the Glitch Classification Groups. These would be:

  • No OOB -> No Major Glitches (NMG)
  • OOB -> Major Glitches (MG)

This comes as No OOB starts no longer fully titling the spirit we go with when ruling out glitches, going for more a casual+ gameplay vibe.

In addition there was a discussion for additional classifications to be added. These would be:

Inbounds / Restricted Major Glitches (RMG):

  • All Glitches like Soul-Tec and Cling Clips would be allowed.
  • Sybil must at all times stay inbounds.
    • Inbounds would be specified to Sybil staying inside the room walls + Theater outer Wall + Dungeon Shortcut.
    • Slide spaces would be counted as Inbounds, even if they can't be slid through in normal gameplay.

Unrestricted: We currently have 2 Glitches not allowed that could fall within this categorization

  • Moonjump - This is a type of glitch that allows Sybil to either gain infinite height or distance.
Depending on the Game Version variants of this glitch have been patched. Banned as a general rule outside of Categories that specifically allow it.
  • Controller Auto Fire {CAF} - Controller buttons will be pressed every frame if you started holding them while on a Pause Screen.
This enables current the unpatched Moonjump to be consistently viable. Banned under our rebinding rules: Macros, Turbos and other types of automated inputs are banned.
