used to be able to as well... anyone know what causes this?

I have that happen sometimes and if I just mash jump or any button that isn't the skip button it'll fix itself

Since this post was made, we have gained a way to consistently skip it on Keyboard:

After the cutscene starts, press and hold Left Mouse Button. While Left Mouse is pressed, hold escape until the cutscene is skipped.
