Description

My second published attempt at a single-segment run of all tracks in Daytona USA. This run is decent, but could be made notably quicker by correcting a few errors and using a faster shifting strategy.

I rely a lot on the 4-1-3-4 gear drift in this run due to its ease of control and predictability, but it is slower than a perfected 4-2-4 drift, which I only attempt a few times. This run relied on consistency from what I know rather than the quickest strategies possible. Even then, I need to get better at dealing with CPUs on the tunnel turn in Seaside/Expert (and the first lap as a whole), and get better at weaving through traffic in Three Seven/Beginner (and not scrape the wall off turn 2).

Besides refining minor errors, the next big strides if I perform another run in the future will likely come from using a 4-2-4 drifting style and learning the speed/angles that come with it, which will take time.

This run was played using the PS3 port played using the RPCS3 Emulator, as it provided ease of recording and allowed me to use a wheel. No enhancements were used. My racing wheel is a G920 that emulates a G27 inside RPCS3

Track Times this run:

Expert (Seaside Street Galaxy) - 3'17"76

Advanced (Dinosaur Canyon) - 3'00"85

Beginner (Three Seven Speedway) - 2'18"68

Update to the Saturn leaderboards

Hello! A small update.

The Saturn leaderboards has been split between PAL and NTSC-U/NTSC-J/PAL60.

This was made a bit in haste (and with loopy me past midnight) so let me know if I missed something or should alter this split.

Post-sleep edit: It's now a basic PAL vs. NTSC split for Saturn, m
