Morning/Afternoon/Evening,
Just wanted to throw out a suggestion, i guess applies to act 1 more than anything but also not a bad idea for NG as well. The concept of a no prologue run so starting from the meadow area with gustav. The prologue offers minimal interaction bar some janky movement minimal combat with maelle and you cannot level up there overall so it doesn't give any strategic advantage.
The prologue itself is an overall task when heavy resets are a thing and feel it would make things like act 1 more playable so you are not reliving it over and over again, same somewhat for ng.
hey appreciate the suggestion, while I can understand the request for removing it. Since it's still gameplay that does account for movement, some (while easy combat) and of course mashing dialogue box, at this time it should remain accounted for. While not applicable to Restricted, Windmill/Prologue skip is a thing, so removing that part of the run also removes some of the variance with Any% runs going forward.
Of course I completely understand was not and overall removal of prologue but the concept of with or without. Similar to res3 remake with no intro or res 7 no guest house. As its prominently a tutorial area.
If it was a fixed time then it would make sense but its not, some games remove it for that reason. Clair's prologue is not a fixed intro as the example used in which for games likes R3r and others they have no menuing or variance so that makes them more or less fixed time.
I can understand for some games to do that but its not really the same case to be made.
