I've been a casual fan of Mario 64 Speed running for a while and I've been (mostly) unfamiliar with any% running. I was curious if there was any optimization needed, because i'd like to make a TAS.
I want to, quite literally, make the most frame-perfect run possible, Using razor synapse's new macro system. I think it would be a fun thing to mess around with, and lord knows i have time to spare.
If anyone has any ideas on what for me to include, please let me know. Again, i'm new to this. :D
There are dedicated TAS tools for this game. Trying to create a TAS with a macro system not hooked to the game's framerate would create frequent desyncs only a few seconds into the TAS (depending on how precise your strats are). To get started with SM64 TASing, I can recommend either of these videos: The existing 1 key TAS compiling all known strats to achieve the fastest time possible might also be a good guideline for your “perfect” TAS:

If you wish to replace your twitch highlights with reuploads, please edit your already verified run rather than deleting the verified run and making a new submission. This makes it a lot easier for us to track which submissions are reuploads and should be less work on your part as well.
