This game has been a blast to play in my free time, and I've seen several of the speedruns over the past week or so and I'm so interesting in joining the speedrun scene here. I've been a pretty avid speedrunner in general for almost a decade and this game automatically caught my eye, even before seeing any speedruns. One day soon I'll finally join you guys on the grind!

My delay is that I'm still trying to figure out why I can't get any mods to work, I've tried to follow the steps on the guide located here and I've not gotten it to work, the instructions are simple and clear but I must be doing something wrong, the 1.7 update from today might be causing me issues but I'm not sure if that's what going on. I've also tried to get the Fronkdesk Mod that Chocler used in his 19:52 run to work and I'm not getting that one to work either. And also also I've tried to get the PeakCinema mod to be able to move the camera around to help with routing purposes but that mod is also not working for me. And I don't plan to use the camera mod during the speedruns that I do, it can be uninstalled prior to any runs I perform but I've heard it recommended more than once and I agree that it'll help.

So with that if anybody can assist me in any way or confirm that the 1.7 update made these mods not work that'd be very appreciated. I'd greatly appreciate any help if any regarding this since I'm very eager to join in on the fun but I'm struggling to get the mods to work correctly for me currently.

For the mods issue, yes I believe that several mods are brocken each update. That is to be expected every New update that the game devs release.

Thanks TouchGrass! I finally got them operational today! Not sure why I was struggling with it but I tried again today and I found success, yay! The only three mods that I currently have installed are the Frontdesk, MorePeak, and PeakCinema. (And again I don't plan to use PeakCinema for any runs, I only plan to use it to help scope out routes, I can uninstall that mod if necessary before any speedrun attempts of course.)

I'll read over the rules again to make sure I'm submitting valid speedruns and I'll try to work on some runs over the course of the week, I've only put in about 50 hours into the game since launch so I do have a okay feel for the game but most speedruns strats I need to look into more and do some trial and error to see what I can perform, super excited to join yall here!

So far but I haven't tried to do any serious speedrun attempts yet, I did finally get my first sub hour run with a 52:51 to get the achievement but I'm still a long ways away from any record potential runs of course, I'll probably wait until I hit sub 40 until I start submitting any runs, so soon you'll see me on the leaderboards!

As TG said, definitely join the Discord, there's several mods that are EXTREMELY useful and I can help you out with them in the discord, also I'd recommend using Gale for managing your mods, it makes everything a million times easier.
