what frame does timer stop for ILs
also yeah just rules in general would be nice
comparing his run with other speedruns, he picks up the water bottle about 0.7 seconds faster than everyone else, which is really weird considering he picks it up much later than normal by getting closer to it than other runners. additionally, he was incredibly slow when placing the water bottle in the fridge but somehow still ended up ahead of the other runners afterward
his basement was also much worse than watermelon's, entering late and having a sloppy button press, which is why i find it so weird that his run was nearly a full second faster
the Any% category seems like it's the exact same as https://www.speedrun.com/skyfactory
also, i think the SFOne Mode variable needs to be set so that it only affects the SkyFactory One category, and all of the variables should not be user-defined or else anyone can add their own subcategories
I think it would make more sense if this game used the Individual Levels feature to organize the leaderboard rather than making each custom level a full-game category; this would especially help make the leaderboard leas cluttered as the number of user levels increases.
Hi, I noticed a weird bug where a game is appearing on speedrun.com titled as "Seterra Category Extensions" does anyone know of a fix for this? Thanks
As it stands, the moderation team isn't planning on adding any new categories until floor 2 releases. If you have an idea for a new category, it is a bad one. Please stop filling the forums with baseless suggestions that you don't even have the skill to do.
it isn't necessary to have a category for dying as fast as possible for every single level, especially when several of them are just "bring one of the nextbots to the beginning of the level and then die"
I'm a little confused by the existence of the NMG subcategory since it seems like none of the current runs do any glitches but are still placed in Any% rather than Any% NMG
Also, are there even any known glitches that could be done that warrant a whole other category?
hi skittlescat not sure if you're new to the speedrunning scene or not but you always round down when it comes to full-second times because that is how speedrunning works thanks
The Chapters are individual parts of the game, so it only makes sense that they are added as a part of the Individual Levels leaderboard. This would make it easy to set up multiplayer categories since you could have each chapter on its own with a category for each player count. This would also make it easy to have an "All Chapters" full-game category when the game is either finished or cancelled.
Personally, I feel like the "2 Chapters" category should be removed because at the time of the leaderboard being set up there are already three chapters released. It doesn't make sense to have a category of only 2/3 of the game.
Also the "Jumpscare" category should be removed since it's just Death% with a fancy name but supercrazestar likes bad categories so I doubt that will happen
to prove that an autoclicker isn't being used runners should be required to have audible clicks through a microphone or use a handcam to record their clicks
there is no reason for a separation to be made, it's just playing the game slower
there is an issue in the co-op leaderboard where Trinkets and YinSempai have both 5th and 8th place. this can be fixed by editing the category and changing the Player Obsoletion Mode from "Match all, exact order" to "Match all, any order"
i think the chapters should be moved to an IL board because it doesn't really make sense having each chapter individually right next to all of them put together
plus that's exactly what the IL feature is for
for some reason the only categories are the three different individual levels (labelled difficulty for some reason?) i think it would make sense if there was a category to actually beat all levels in the game
this should be pretty obvious but you cannot accurately retime a run if you do it based on an audio cue. the cue should be visual to allow for accurate retiming, and it should be specified whether time ends upon the screen starting to fade to orange or finishing fading to orange.
the line is faster to go up after turning the last corner than to go down since you don't have to go across the wall separating the two; why does everyone go down?
