"If there are tons of submissions there it wouldn't take long for the question to come up: "So now that favorable RNG % is so popular, why dont we make it a main category" ?

I talked about this with some runners and some of them said that it would be a boring category. And I agree with that at some point, because the gambling part this game has, is one of it's big hooks. But still, if we get to that point, if the mods don't let that happen, no problem with that.

Btw, I can't see the problem with it being more popular than any%. If a new category attracts new runners and keep the old ones into the game, it can't be bad. Why not accept it, if that's what the runners want?

Hello. Now that the rebirth patch has been approved, do you thing it's possible to add this as a new category in category extensions? what do you think

Right click on livesplit - edit layout - double click on scriptable autosplitter - and make sure you have open the autosplitter for your category there.

Right click on livesplit program - go to compare against - check that Game Time is selected instead of Real time. Also, open livesplit as Admin.

The program we use is Livesplit, and we use a different split depending on the category, which you can find in resources section.

When you extract correctly the patch, it show on the title screen "speedrun edition".

Some doors change depending on the events. For example, if Nemesis chases after power station then there is 1 door in the save room after that, that becomes slow.

Hello. I saw there is no VT3 board, so, can I ask here if there is some reason, or is it that just nobody proposed it yet as category? Somebody told me that the game is broken but I couldn't test it on w10. As far as I tested on W7 64 bits it had some ocassional crashes but it still did allow playing if you were lucky with that.

There was some confusion with the timing before so this is good.

Thanks Gemini and mods, this is great and will help all those people who had trouble with the game; and for those who it worked before, it does not make a big difference in performance, but still has a lot of nice tools that you can use for the speedruns, or also debugging if you are a mod creator. It's a win-win for sure.

The only thing that has to be fixed I think it's the srt, which has to be fixed by its creator maybe.

You can try opening a video in windows media player and let it paused in the background. There are other options but I don't remember.

RNG is one of the things that make this game interesting and fun to watch. That's only one of the reason that I say no to allow this in speedruns.

If number of players is a power of 2 then every player starts at round 1. Registration is still open so this is not the definitive bracket.

It's a different route yes, and it's completable, but is not a lot faster than the normal one. A lot of backtracking has to be done, so the timesave in city is like 1-2 minutes.
