Not sure if this has already been addressed elsewhere but I'm concerned (or at least curious) about the amount of time dedicated to "open slots" on the yellow stream. What kind of content are you imagining for this? Why not readd more cut games to the schedule?
I probably won't be bringing any cards but I'm looking forward to playing with etholon's Kappa
while I'm all for speedrunning being open and not cliquey, skyward sword and WWHD are both very popular games, so I think this site would be looking for someone more established in the respective communities to run those pages.
[quote=tdawg91]Just a heads up that there now is a private operator running the Stockholm -Skovde - Gothenburg route. I had a look at the prices and they seem to be about 20 euro cheaper than if you went with a SJ service. High speed trains as well.

+1 for this, stockholm to skovde was a lot cheaper here than sj.
bump - any more thoughts on http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/g79jt/9#il2ar ?
Have you ever wondered who would in a fight between Goku and Superman?
Have you ever wanted to see Ryu from Street Fighter take on Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear?
And have you ever wanted to see Ronald McDonald smack down against a Japanese schoolgirl? If so you should probably seek help, but I got you covered.
MUGEN is the only fighting game where all this and much, much, much more is possible. If there's enough interest I'll bring a build to ESA for people to mess around on and hopefully run a little tournament as well.
time to add a report bot function? OpieOP
What do you think of having ILs (and misc categories?) not show up on the front page latest runs? It can get pretty crowded with extremely niche stuff.
I gave them a call and sorted it out, thanks for the advice guys!
That would be an okay solution - I think it would look better if it just showed as blank rather than "??".
Not sure what experience other people have had with contacting the hotel but I am currently waiting for a reply to an email I sent last week. Should I give them a chance or start chasing them?
While I would be very happy for deertier.com to migrate their leaderboards over here, in the meantime I think www.speedrun.com/super_metroid should probably be taken down. I don't really understand why the request would be approved in the first place, given how well-established the external leaderboards are and the fact that as far as I can tell dragoncraftt34 has nothing to do with them.
A while back, when the timing stuff was first implemented, runs on a user's profile that were missing RTA would use IGT ranking, regardless of the ranking used by that game. For example, on dragonfangs' profile, his MZM any% time would show up as 3rd. Now, it shows up as 19th, which is technically more accurate to the leaderboard in question, but misleading as far as the quality of the run goes. I realise this issue is mostly unique to MZM's specific problems with timing, but would it be easy to restore the old functionality?
For what it's worth, I've been hoping for a long time that Prime players eventually come to embrace RTA more than they currently do. Don't give up the good fight! :p
As for segmented, I didn't have to do any convincing. Segmented has pretty much entirely fallen out of favour for the GBA metroids. The only category that sees much play is 1% in Fusion, and those are really just SS runs with deaths.
