I also did a marathon run 5 months ago that is pretty informative. So maybe I could put it in here? Also brain was going haywire during the run lol, was like 4 am
Curious on what people would think about having OoB runs on one leaderboard and No OoB on another to help organize and keep a lot of categories together rather than splitting some categories off into extended categories? I just wanted to put this out there for a discussion, not sure which way I lean tbh.
In chapter 2 I realized that you can skip the Muramasa shop text if you hit X during the swing animation. It makes me wonder if we in the future can skip even some item pickups to potential cutscenes. Little things like this could lead to something huge. Any thoughts? Also, has this been known?
Thanks for the replies. And yes, I can def tell the combat is RNG compared to most games where movement can heavily manipulate things. In this game it just feels like it is completely up to the boss and how there day was LUL
Would It be better to buy the $10 NInja Gaiden Black game on the 360 marketplace? Or just continue using my old original Xbox copy?
I saw this run at SGDQ and I never thought of running one of my old favorite games to until I saw the run. I want to say thanks for the crazy amount of dedication when it comes to guides and tutorials. I also love how pure of a run this is compared to many others. (Dishonored being a glitchfest) So far from I've learned of the run, it will be frustrating but yet super fulfilling. I'm hoping to put a lot of time into this game and see what things I can learn from it. Again, thanks for all the help on tutorials and stuff. It truly means a lot.
That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
(THIS IS JUST FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE) The toughest technique to get down is the movement. Try to study the exact movements that the top runners do. One thing that helped me personally was to try and guess exactly how much time they held the analog stick during turns. Don't get too bent out of shape if del lago isn't being nice, he gets everyone all the time. No matter how good you are he can give you troubles from time to time. In the end, just try to nail the precise movements and everything else should come natural. I agree with carp, try swapping out to a controller during this fight, the lower sensitivity can help a lot. You can also up the sensitivity while you are aiming by using the d-pad instead of the stick for the harder to get hits. GL on your further practices.
¤Instantly gets nervous on whether or not I have been submitting wrong this whole time¤
Spoicy Memes indeeed! First warning on the shit-post!! Kappa
My screen happens to be constantly teared as well, but after a while I managed to get used to it. I know that playing on windowed can completely get rid of the tear but that also takes some time to get used to playing it on windowed if you are not used to it. Unless there is a good fix, I would say just to give it some time. ;)
Awesome! Thanks for the help everyone!!
I greatly appreciate all of the replies. I have managed to figure out the issue and why it has been messing up. As soon as I hit check on the lever with X it thinks that I want to skip the cut scene(since my files were to skip events with X) with Ashley pointing at the door. So the enemies manage to spawn way earlier since the game skips the cut scene and checks the lever at the same time. I found out that having her jump down and activate the cut scene before I pull the lever has made the glitch way more consistent. So now it shows the cut scene with Ashley pointing at the door when before she wouldn't do that at all for me. Again, thanks for the replies and I appreciate you guys helping out very quick. <3
Everyone else I know who does this glitch instantly can do it except for me. My percentage on doing this correct is around 50%. In runs I always see Ashley point something out when she jumps down, but has never shown me that cut scene since I have been trying to attempt it. There really isn't any real guide on how to efficiently accomplish this glitch, so I was wondering if anyone had any tips for a more consistent pattern. I have a Xbox One controller and use the type III button layout.
Oh nice, always nice to meet new runners and where they come from. Compared to most people in this community I am relatively new too but was able to fit in very nicely. Welcome aboard homie. Also good luck in any of your future runs. <3
