In a game I mod, there were comments made on certain runs (they were fine), but now they are suddenly gone and there is no history of them ever existing in the audit log (not created, deleted, etc). The most recent run comments that are shown in the audit log are from 2 months ago, and it shows 0 entries for deleted comments.

EDIT:

Well I found one of the comments in one of the runs, but it's still not showing up in the audit log.

currently if you update a run's player name or something else small, mods will get notified as if it's a brand new run submission. this can potentially waste a lot of time especially since minor changes aren't highlighted or easily noticeable.

a good reference would be discogs.com - when you edit information from an album there, all the changes are highlighted (plus all previous edits/changes are documented and easily accessible).

Here are all the current Mastery Missions and the order when they become playable (2 per week):

01 - Wing It 02 - Against All Odds

03 - Pathfinder Parkour 04 - Scatter Shot

05 - Vantage Point 06 - Pathfinder's High Jump

07 - Kraber Challenge 08 - Rapid Rush

09 - Pure Adrenaline 10 - Fire in the Hole

EDIT:

EDIT (12/07/22):

So Scatter Shot is up with Ziplining Invaders this week. I'm guessing it's just random now? Scatter Shot was usually with Pathfinder Parkour.

Hey so I created a score-based leaderboard in google sheets (just from watching youtube videos, cuz I don't really have much experience in excel/sheets) but I noticed that the same player shows up more than once if they played on a different region or used a different character. I don't know how to hide lower scores.

I basically just want to replicate the "Regions/Platforms (characters in this case) obsolete each other" options that SRC has, to only show a player's best score.

Hey is there a more consistent way of jumping up onto the wooden platform (when we have to follow Ying)? I tend to miss the jump, and it just feels like luck if I get it right.

I was thinking a lot and decided to put a rule to cap the frame rate to 60 FPS for all runs. This is because the lower your FPS, the slower the level transitions are, which adds more time to your run. Ideally 144 FPS would be better (and faster) but not everyone can reach it. This would make it fair for everyone.

There is one run that is higher than 60 fps but I will allow that one to stay. I will remove my current runs and just re-do them :)

Please check out this RE2 Remake thread to figure out how to limit your FPS to 60 (it can apply to all games): https://www.speedrun.com/re2remake/thread/n8kkp

So rythin was cool enough to make an autosplitter for this game!

It can be found in the Resources tab, and will be required for all future runs. Ask here if you need any help with it.

when a time is displayed as (for example) 00.78 you enter it as 00.780 when submitting times. both mods have been entering it as .078 which is wrong

1000 ms = 1 second 1.5s / 1.50s / 1.500s = 1 second 500 ms 2.8s = 2 seconds 800 ms 2.85s = 2 seconds 850 ms .. etc

On Tuesday, April 14, 2020:

Echo will be released to live servers, so the All Heroes and Damage subcategories of the Practice range will be reset. The current runs will be moved to All Heroes (Pre-Echo) and Damage (Pre-Echo) respectively. People will still be able to submit runs to those if they want, without including Echo of course.

Echo will also be added to the PR Individual Heroes category.

Also, for consistency, we will be changing when the timer stops in Practice Range runs (solo only, not including the Duos category). Timer will now stop when the last bot dies, same as with the Individual Heroes category. We will re-time the affected runs in the current leaderboards.

If you have any questions, let us know!

Hi, so when I finish the game, with any ending, it doesn't take me to the main menu right away. When it ends, a screen appears that shows me what ending I unlocked. Then on the bottom it has an option to return to the main menu.

In the current runs, I don't see this ending screen, it just goes straight to main menu. How do I get it to skip the ending screen and go straight to the main menu after finishing?

Patch 1.39.1.0 - August 13, 2019

New Hero: Sigma (Tank)

  • All Practice Range categories that needed to be reset were reset and now include him in the runs

General: Global ultimate cost increased 12%

  • Tutorial 2.0 was moved to Misc and we now have Tutorial 3.0
  • Due to Soldier's ult taking an extra ~2 seconds to fully charge
  • And for optimal runs, he now needs to kill 11 bots instead of 9 bots (for ult)

Tutorial 3.0 was added on Aug 15, 2019 Practice Range categories now include Sigma since Aug 14, 2019

Both of these maps are from Gemster's Discord server. Check here: https://discord.gg/EyqkRgQ

Dorado (100% Run)

Route 66 (100% Run)

There are more maps, but I wanna see how they react to being on SRC.

As for rules, Gemster has made simple and easy rules to follow on his Discord that everyone who runs the maps agree on.

For these 2 maps, there are 2 subcategories: Any% and 100% Any% = Switch to the final hero after unlocking him/her 100% = Unlock all heroes (not including Torb) and all zones

Also, Gemster allows for 100% runs to be on Any% leaderboards if they happen to be faster.

Timing is done by IGT (top left) and they don't use milliseconds. Just minute:seconds.

Timer starts when spawning as first hero Timer ends upon unlocking final zone or hero

Hey since there are now level leaderboards, can we add this Hollywood Doomfist Parkour category? There are a few more maps for Doomfist Parkour too, just gotta make runs for em.

Here's my run for DF Parkour in Hollywood:

Doomfist Parkour Hollywood: PE5RC Version: 1.3 Creator: Blackbird / sluggishseal

Instant cooldowns on pass/fail Timer begins upon leaving home checkpoint Timer ends upon reaching final checkpoint

Description: You may only stand in the blue rings. The purple flag icon indicates your next destination. Reach all checkpoints to beat the map and display your best time.

To skip a stage: Interact + Jump To replay the previous stage: Interact + Crouch To restart from the beginning: Interact + Ultimate Ability

Skipping or replaying a stage will disable your timer until you restart at the beginning.

Let's get some categories added :D

Main category: All Levels ?

Then: 1-10 (i have a speedrun for this already) 11-20 etc?

As for the rules, what do you think about this:

Timing in RTA

Time starts on first input on first level Time ends upon reaching final door

This could apply to All Level runs and IL runs too

This is for people who aren't sure on how to re-time their runs frame-by-frame or for people who just want a more accurate time for their runs.

I use these two websites and both are really good:

  1. https://yt-timer-1806.glitch.me/
  2. https://mattbraddock.com/yt-frame-timer/

You can also re-time using your editing software. Just mark the starting and ending points and highlight the whole section in between those points. It'll show you "minutes:seconds.frame-number / 00:00.00"

To add milliseconds to it just take the frame number and multiply it by either 0.016666 (60fps) or 0.033333 (30fps).

So if your video is in 30fps and it's showing you 05:24.17 - multiply 17 x 0.033333 = 0.566xxx - then just put that with your time: 5 min 24 sec 566 ms (and exclude the other numbers since only 3 can be entered).

EDIT:

Also, since Twitch videos/clips can't be re-timed through the websites linked above, they would have to be re-timed in an editing software. If you are the owner of the videos, just download your own vods and put em into the editing software. If you don't own the vods/clips, you can use the app Twitch Leecher to download people's videos from Twitch and re-time in your own editing software with the method mentioned above.

For clips just replace the beginning of the URL with "clipr.xyz" - for example:

twitch.tv/RandomLinkThing -- clipr.xyz/RandomLinkThing

And you should be able to download the clip.

Hey, the game is Total Party Kill. It's a short 60 level game released in early July on Steam, and it seems like it would be really easy to write an autosplitter script for it. TBH I have absolutely zero experience in that, so if any of you have some free time and wanna help out, that'd be really awesome :)

Here's what the game looks like:

Hey I was wondering if any of you know a desktop app that I can use to re-time my recorded runs frame by frame?

Currently anyone can do this online with YouTube videos and this website: https://mattbraddock.com/yt-frame-timer/

But if there's an offline frame timer like that one, that'd be really awesome :)

Hey I'm just curious why milliseconds aren't used for the main category? There are a bunch of ties and being able to submit milliseconds would help with that. The runs are really short too.
