Hey guys :) just wondering why there are no Bonus Stars / Bowser Levels...would you add them, dear mods?

What do you guys think of competing about getting most (regular yellow) coins per each level? So just another category with the same variables.

Hey everybody! Here a somewhat really unorthodox inquiry: I just wondered...normally I only watch Stage RTA's or complete speedruns. But I looked at this single star (https://www.speedrun.com/run/1zx3vkgz) and noticed, that the route used there is a completely different than doing the 100c+reds together (which is the normal way in every level)... So what if there was a route that would let you get the 100c star faster than with reds (non-profitable for anything besides single stars because of already having been collecting a significant amount of scores).

Would you add an "8th" star for every IL? For timing purposes an additional star picked up for leaving the level should be used (as the reds-star always does). Because otherwise it would be the same as 100c only.

alright, i see. just thought ThinksTheClown ("Uh...FinnGamer skipped more than just the first cutscene, but the second and third also.") meant the levels 2 and 3 instead of the cutscenes of the 2nd/3rd part of level 1

then of course i agree with you! there are other categories for skipping the "unnecessary" non-play-parts :)

"level till almost the end": does it make any difference, if the level is cancelled directly at the beginning or after further progress inside of the level? and i think u mean not only one level but all of the levels for this year, right? then my question again is: why does he have to do all the hogwarts stuff all over again?

@AntiGravityMaster...you rejected "Order of the Phoenix" () but this thread is about "Half-Blood Prince" (). Year 5 is fully legit. Year 6 is still pending. Maybe FinnGamer HIMSELF should just give a statement, what happened there and how he was doing it. Then we still can take him to court :p

@BucketPls I gotta say this again, he is NOT replaying, look my earlier posted entry here. Additionally: he walkd through full Hogwarts so it's for sure a clean (= unused) savefile.

The8bitbeast you just have to set clear rules.

For EMU: Next to the game-window the cheat-codes-window of pj64 must be shown the entire run and the levitation code must be opened at the beginning as proof.

For N64: I'm not familiar at all with GameShark/EverDrive (are these the actual cartridges?), can the cheats be changed without leaving the game so that you wouldn't notice?

AntiGravityMaster he is definetely NOT. Otherwise the ghost studs wouldn't appear and inside of the Leaky Cauldron year 6 would be choosable on the level leaderboards (the flipchart).

Hypothesis: for me it looks like if there's a bug in the game, that if you already have completed the game on e.g. file B, then the game thinks on file A that you watched the cutscene so you can skip it. Obviously it only works on 6x1. I would suggest to legit this glitch, because FinnGamer didn't contravene against the rules, as he didnt' choose "Replay Story".

• sub-variable under fixed/no fixed warps or
• misc category

for nonstop? :)

for the IL's I would add a complete-stage-attempt (all 4 levels of a world) :)

i also earlier wondered, why everbody is running an "individual year - story mode" always with the hogwarts stuff and not just re-does the single levels

the rules aint that specific, so to get a better time you simply could re-do the stages...

Good point (you mean e.g. the "Any% NG+" category in Lego Star Wars?), but I don't mind anything in story mode. Even in the Freeplay rules it isn't forbidden, so can I do Freeplay runs with them activated?

If you have the story mode completed, you got the reducto-charm (which in real is reductio in books/movies/lhp5-7). With this you get ① griphook (key) in 1x1 ② Lucius Malfoy (dark wizard & Slytherin) in 2x5 ③ Hagrid (strong) in 1x5 and ④ The Grey Lady (Ravenclaw) in 3x3

I won't include this in the savefile, so this is the first thing to do. You get Gryffindor (Harry, Ron, Hermione) and Hufflepuff (Justin Finch-Fletchley in the Polyjuice Potion-Room) by completing the story, so this is not a thing of this category. Collecting anything inside of Hogwarts should be banned.

After that you can do every level for the "real" run, tho the time of course starts before.

The rules in the individual categories don't prohibit extras as it says in Lego Star Wars "No cheat codes allowed." ...so are they?

I'm asking not for the 100% category, 'cause it's only doable selecting "New Game" first. But what about "Any%", "Freeplay RTA" and the "Single Year"s ?

Hey, I'm about to do a run called "All collectables in Free Play 1-4"

Meaning you'll need a savegame with neither any hogwarts crests and character tokens collected nor a true wizard state reached and even no student in peril saved (except the one in 2x6 "The Basilisk" that you free in story mode) in every level.

I'm just creating this savefile for me, if you want to add this category, I'll put it into the resources (the one which is already there, unluckily collected ONE SINGLE character token in 3x3).
