Technically it is a glitch, but I guess accidents happen. :V

He did but it got other uses.

Yes! Glitchless can be such an interesting run! Imagine speedrunning a game but with much less skill and fun overall! :D

That's normal. Due to the way video compression works, having lots of stuff on screen will make compressing that frame more difficult. This effect can be decreased by increasing bitrate (more internet), increasing preset (more CPU) or decreasing framerate (if it's higher than 30, which it shouldn't for Undertale since it runs at 30FPS).

ePSXe 2.0 seems to have special settings that can be used to reduce lag (by overclocking the PS1 CPU, so nah). I suggest only keeping 1.9.0.

Edit: 2.0.2 has overclocking, 2.0.0 doesn't.

There is an invisible object that prevents you from going past the dummy. This object is used in some other cutscenes too but I can't remember them. So yeah, not possible... Yet?

Portugaldassb9 years ago

Yes, it does, as said by the 2 posts before yours.

This works in all regions, it's just abusing the way the game loads stuff.

Ya but Crash is a terrible community and will keep being a terrible community since everyone (no exceptions) is a terrible person.

April Fools!

I don't care if you pause your runs or not. That's what verifying runs is for.

Wow. I've never seen that one before. Awesome. This game truly sucks.

Why would you want to play a PS1 game on a program that doesn't act like a PS1? :/

1.7 is innacurate as hell, should be AT LEAST higher than 1.7.

Portugaldassb9 years ago

Yeah, that's kind of obvious.

Load times in Crash 1-3 aren't actually 100% consistent for each level too, it depends if a texture chunk is loaded already or not (this isn't the case with some levels because they use very little texture chunks).

Portugaldassb9 years ago

Crash moves faster and jumps higher in PAL. PAL has lower load times too (edit: would probably only save a couple seconds over NTSC-U).

You can easily (not that easy actually) get a pretty damn accurate time as to how long a Crash 1-3 level takes to load (initially).

I am just curious if mid-level loads (aka Un-Bearable secret route and bonus) should be included, because getting an accurate time on those is tough.
