Wait if jumping increases acceleration does that mean jumping right at the start of the level would be faster? Sort of like the SMB backwards jump acceleration?

@european_union No, while NTR doesn't overclock the 3DS, it enables the extra RAM in N3DS and N2DS, which MK7 doesn't use normally. Gameplay is still capped at 60fps but loading times are decreased. If anything it might speed up the 1 or 2 lightly laggy sections of tracks but it will barely make a difference.

I don't think it runs at a higher framerate, it just reduces load times by a little bit.

Yeah I'm with J_duude, I don't see how it's easier to splice a webcam run. If the sound is recorded with webcam audio it makes it nearly impossible to splice (and make it look legit). It's possible to splice if you don't have sound but the same can be said for a capture card. Also capture cards are cheap, but I heard they can be complicated to set up and it is severely limiting in the kinds of setups you can have. If your PC is upstairs but the TV which you use for playing SM64 is downstairs it makes it impossible to record runs after you have a good enough time. Also GothicLogic, you mentioned it being hard to time, but I can't see how a webcam can give you a bad enough quality recording to give you any significant advantage. Claiming that using a webcam will give you an advantage of anything more than 1 or 2 frames is just absurd.

Yeah, it's possible to record in pretty good quality with webcam. I think it should be based case by case off of the recording quality, not the recording device.

That's a dumb idea and it takes away all skill and makes whoever has the fastest fingers and best finesse automatically the WR holder. This isn't minecraft, people aren't going to search for optimal seeds.

I've been waiting 11 days so far for my runs to be accepted, and all mods except for 1 or 2 haven't checked the site in over a month. edit: nvm they've been verified now

1. Someone who plays on original hardware, and is REALLY good at the game. Watching Tetris at GDQ is only good because of the insanely high level.
2. Probably not, Tetris GB will be too boring for most people- that's why TGM is a favorite at GDQ, it looks good, plays insanely fast, and is much more competitive. Plus more people play it has a higher level.
