If you didn't already record it there's nothing you can do about it, just record it with your phone or something in the future (quality doesn't need to be the best) so it doesn't happen again
That would be awesome! Sure, you can do that if you want to
A minute really is too much, but that would be ~15h of retiming... Do you know a good way of doing that without a video editor and removing loads manually? I would definitely help out either way
We can add WiiUVC once you complete a run on it, its essentially just a emulator but id say its worth adding because its a official one, also the most accurate out there
Comparing Discord to Twitch is a better comparison as to RL tbh
And why do you actually care if someone is just there to be there or if s/hes actually active? Let them just be there if they want to, if you want to see whos actually active get a level bot or something so you easily see who writes how much, best one would be Mee6 (https://mee6.xyz/), easy to setup and easy to use
I feel like the best thing for the beginning would be to just use something like "highscores.speedrun.com", similar to how YT and it's gaming version works so you can just replace "www" with "highscore" (or "hs" as a shorter version?). If enough people submit runs and everything that it's actually worth to buy a expensive domain, then we could still do that, I feel like it's better than just ""wasting"" money on a domain at the very beginning /edit: This would obviously only work if the highscore part is integrated into SRC, user accounts, games etc are shared
Are there any other similar names avaible like scores . com or something? If that's just not a option, 1 would be the best imo, then maybe do something like highscores.speedrun.com?
Edit: About the actual site then, I feel like the best would be to basically add a speedrun and highscore version for each game, moderators would carry over (if they don't want to mod the highscore part they could remove themselves and mod others instead), by doing this most games would already have mods that understand how the game works and the community would usually already have mods they know. Then obviously add a link to each other at the left side (like Forum, Streams etc)
Actually, im pretty sure that if a game actually needs a discord server that they can do it on their own. A lot fo games don't even need one actually because it's such a small community
Just don't add scores to this site, it's a speedrunning site after all
If the game has some sort of in-game timer or anything like that, picture proof should be required alongside splits, else just splits picture proof without in game timer is kinda useless
I already was in a server where I mainly lurked and wrote something like once a week because I just didn't had anything to say, I still read every message tho
As long as you can see everything with decent quality it's good! Just be sure that the Switch is big enough on the actual recording (TV mode might be better for this) And be sure that there's enough free space on your phone so it can actually record the whole run
