I added the TG16 Category in the Leaderboards. You can now submit your run there so it can be checked

Since someone who knows the Bubble Bobble Game and still hates me talking about this run is being a TAS and not an RTA I will now again apologize in this forum for calling this video of Final Bubble Bobble as a TAS. The player is doing a RTA means he has a legit run and i really apologize that i thought it was a TAS and not played from a real player so the person still blaming me can hopefully accept my apologize.

I did open 2 new categories. I tried playing the game when only one player died (player 2) and player 1 not. It did not open or lets say it was not there. I can try again but maybe it also has to do something to not get go into using credits I dont know. In any case the guys can now submit to the new category where they can die and still get the secret door. I will try myself again one day with only 1 player not dying and see if the door is there. But I tried that before and it did not work. Lets see.

So i actually used the US Version of Bubble Bobble I found for the Arcade. In any case I understand that there are many different versions outside. I didn´t know that, thought all Versions are the same since the strategywiki explained how it has to be used in the US Version I think,

However i never really changed the rules, I was just not aware that there are versions where the secret door appears even when you die. This is not a good speedrun for me since the secret door for skipping the Levels 51 - 69 should be a reward of not dying until that time (thats how my game works, if I die the secret door is not spawning). And there should be a challenge for everyone.

I also made a tutorial and everyone who would like to learn this speedrun should be able to get a deathless run until Level 50 or - play Levels 51 - 69 in a normal way if the player dies on the way to Level 50.

Cheat codes never have been used from my side and all players should go for the same. It would be a mess if the different versions of the Arcade Version will cause different categories. All should be handled the same since its not an good idea, when the same game is splitted into different versions what seemed to just be unfinished since I think the US Arcade Version is the final product, where you don´t spawn the secret door skipping levels when you die on the way to Level 50.

Good Luck to all the runners, I wll post the video in 2 Days on Youtube together with helpful links to the speedrun and hope all understand my point of view of this speedrun since there has to be a challenge for speedrun strats otherwise just using an early mode of the game what seems not finished is not correct in my eyes.

Good Luck to All the runners, sorry I was very busy in the last weeks. I will answer all questions if needed. But Rules never had been changed. I was just not aware that there existing unfinished versions outside there. So I recommend to use the US Version.

Ok, i will accept that. For me it was just very suspicious that there was no timer for that run and that only game feed is shown, but since it was streamed over ESA it makes sense now that there was no timer. Also that there had been only 2 runs in 5 months apart, no runs between and a 9 minute difference then out of nowhere.

Just wanted to be sure since it looked very suspicious for me. Would have also helped to see his inputs but I think I will check the whole VOD to see how he commentates over the run to explain his execution.

Thanks for checking the run :)

Hello everybody,

I checked the Final Bubble Bobble run for the Master System since i was learning it and to be honest that looks so hardcore as a TAS. I dont think a human can move and act like he did. I only watched the Bad Ending run so far. Can some mods for example Bubble Bobble NES maybe check if I am right? I also dont know if the runs have to be taken out, I will submit soon my runs to the leaderboards.

Glad for everyones help since I dont like if there is one player (Mod) and he just submits a TAS as RTA run

I dont think it makes sense to stop the game in the middle before beating it. I respect your idea but it seems wrong to stop in the middle of the game. The other versions stop because the game ended, if it would continue in the other games it would be also a bigger category there.

Hey, if its almost like the arcade i would prefer you submit it to the arcade version. Adding over and over new versions of that game just for 1 time in the moment would make it very big. So please add it to the arcade version and make a note that this is Bikkuriman World. I wll have a look into that run now.

ah yes i added the c64 thought it was already done before. I just took over an existent leaderboard from another guy. You should select c64 now

Berlin, Germanyberlindude13 years ago

please submit your run in the new category any% c64 so i can watch and verify if everything should look fine

Berlin, Germanyberlindude13 years ago

please contact our moderator for this game Greenalink, he is the professional for this. We cannot give information about this run since the other 3 only know the speedrun of the genesis / mega drive games

Berlin, Germanyberlindude13 years ago

Ok i willl add the Arcade Version in the leaderboards

Berlin, Germanyberlindude14 years ago

You can submit your run in Any% (Other) Category since it will be not runned very often I guess. Mark it as Amiga Version so the people know from which surce it is. If more people are interested in the Amiga Version I can add the Leaderboard of course in the future.

Congrats to your time.

Hello everyone,

I made a speedrun tutorial for the game Alex Kidd in Shinobi World and would be happy if you would integrate that into the Guides section:

Hello Everyone, I made a tutorial to learn the game Altered Beast for the Sega Genesis and would be happy if you would integrate it into your guide section.

Here is the VOD:

So people can actually learn to run this game. Thanks in advance

As long as the sprites are just changed and the fights are the same the version is acceptable. But I have to see a run first to actually really say if the brazilian version has differences.

I was mentioning Wonder Boy in Monster Land in my stream what I saw and it was no difference of gameplay. So feel free to speerun it and I will check the game if it has differences.

The 100% Category includes:

All Legendary Equipment Beating all Bosses (also the alternate Boss before Medusa - the Wizard) Getting 10 Hearts (400.000 Points) Finishing the Side Quest and get the Bell or Ruby

I think it can be also done in the Arcade Version. But nobody ever wanted to do a run in 100% there until now since Any% is hard enough and as I can see the runners mostly get a lot of legendary equipment anyway there in the Arcade Version.
