This category was renamed No Major Glitches some time ago, and this is considered a minor glitch: it doesn't break the game and it saves at most a couple frames.
To be precise about it, SDLPoP is a Windows port of Prince of Persia and as though it replicates the DOS port, it can be considered as a separate version. As such, if we would allow speedrunning it, it would be in a specific category. But since the gameplay is exactly the same as on DOS, it wouldn't be very appealing.
Good call: on DOS pop1, No Major Glitches does not allow guard jumps nor gate clipping; since it does on SNES, it shouldn't be called No Major Glitches for consistency purposes.
Or maybe we could find the info in the game's inner memory?
Prince of Persia has a LOT of ports. You can have an overview on those videos:
On the leaderboard, we currently have MS-DOS, NES, Apple II, TG-16, Gameboy Color, Sega Master System, Amiga, Mega Drive and Genesis :p They were put as platforms, not categories, though.
For Prince of Persia we have every port on the same leaderboard, except for SNES because this port has a completely different levelset. But it's up to you I guess ;)
