Ask that in the Minecraft forums and the mods will give you feedback on the request.

I mean, all you've been doing for 2 days is accusing people including the site creator of being corrupt without providing any proof so talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

This is the set of rules Makai used for Glitchless Max% Adult http://pastebin.com/d2sNm1Tx

Idk if the rules are what others used for non Glitchless runs but basically the rules he used boil down to:

  • child section beaten using as few permanent flags as possible
  • Timing starts on Master Sword pull
  • Timing ends when Link puts the Master Sword back in the pedestal indicating no more items can be collected

Contact the series mods first and ask them to add it. Usually the "request game" URL is meant for games that are not yet on the site.

Unrelated, I love that album so much.

No problem. But yeah, personal notes help me a lot because I personally learn best when I write something down and look at it/watch it.

I just keep a pastebin account where I write down all of my notes for any games I run. I mostly only use them until I get really familiar with the game but it's always nice to have a little reference in case you brain fart during a run.

Plus other people can then use those notes as a basis for their own when they start running too.

If runs of the game exist, definitely watch runs of the game and get a feel for all the things that can be done to speed up your time. Check to see if there are notes publicly available for it and check them out. If there aren't any, then follow along with the run and make your own. (I always encourage writing your own anyway because I personally learn a run better when I write my own stuff down, but others can learn just from reading and watching).

More than that, just watch, learn, study and practice a bit then you can start working on runs.

If you have any questions ask the people who run the game either in forums, a discord server, whatever they use.

If it's a game with no runs, routing it yourself can be hard but fun. Look for little things that can save time throughout the course of the run and try to optimize it yourself as much as you can at first. Chances are your first run will be awfully slow, but after that you can work on figuring out what felt slow and see how to change it up and optimize it make it faster. But once you get your run submitted here to the site (you can request the game if it doesn't exist http://www.speedrun.com/requestgame ) you may attract others and build a community for it.

Basically, it comes down to have fun and get used to the iterative cycle of

  • study/learn
  • practice
  • run With some hunting, testing and optimizing thrown in if you feel like you have any ideas for different strats.

Hope this helped somewhat.

How many times do we have to tell you that spamming the threads isn't going to help anything.

The site admins told you what to do, you're intentionally ignoring their advice and you're instead deciding to spam the threads with constant complaints. Many of us are sympathetic to your situation, however this constant thread posting/creation is not going to get you anywhere. When the site admins tell you to relax and chill for a bit and then you choose to ignore that, you're reducing your chances of ever getting a resolution.

You've already gotten on the bad side of the game's mods. Whether or not that is justified is a moot point because it has already happened. The best advice is to sit for a few weeks and let this all cool off because your continuing submission of runs then complaining is just going to irritate the game mods more and you'll never get anywhere. The best advice is to still cool off for a couple weeks - practice offline, do some more runs, do whatever just don't submit anything. After some time has passed, try to submit again. If the same thing still happens then you'll have more of a case to maybe contact the admins of the site and plead your case again.

But for the last time, what you're doing right now is harming your case rather than helping. Like I said, many of us are sympathetic to your issue because we know it is unfair, but the more you defy the site admins and the more you create threads like this, the more that sympathy is going to go away because you're intentionally ignoring the best advice we have for you right now.

FFX ending got me a little teary eyed when I first beat years ago.

Agglom, waiting double digit hours is hardly an issue. This thread is a last resort thread for if you are waiting weeks for a run to be verified and mods are inactive.

The mod you're referring to seems to be very active and verifies your runs quickly. If you contact them and they need help with moderating, they can add you, but as of right now, it definitely seems like there is zero problem since your runs are getting verified in a timely manor.

When you get a resounding "no" from everyone including site admins and then you edit your post to ignore all of that and still try to advocate for this, it really does make you seem more and more like someone who is just trying to spam.

Good job experimenting but this is unfortunately slower than current strats and it also uses up Focus which would mean an extra item usage or needing to touch a save point.

Neat idea though.

You're probably gonna wanna post a video, it's a lot easier to follow along with and understand than just some text

You're gonna want to ask that in the HL forums, you'll get a faster, better answer there
