Japanese is faster in Chapter 1 by about 13 seconds due to a large amount of unskippable text that you have to wait to scroll (Entering the Castle before the Lancer Fight, Prison Lancer Fight, etc.)

Japanese is only just faster in some Chapter 2 categories (e.g. about 1.5s in Main Route Glitched, 0.267s in Main Route NMG/Glitchless) as there's less unstoppable text, and there's a couple spots that lose time. In fact, it loses time in Chapter 2 in Snowgrave categories (2 frames, 0.067s). This is usually only used in Chapter 2 by the highest level runners, or if it's the runner's preference.

It's worth noting in Chapter 2 however that one of the words that Berdly can randomly spell changes from Prodigy to Wise, saving close to 2s, basically making that section faster on average in Japanese.

It's also worth noting that All Chapters categories somewhat recently changed the timing rules to allow the Chapter transition time to not be included. So in the past, some runners would opt to not change language as it loses time too. With the rule changed, now runners can switch from Japanese to English after completing Chapter 1 with no consequence in their final time due to switching it.

In terms of how to become one in this community, it's minimal.

In terms of what they can do site-wide:

• Verifiers can verify and edit runs.

• Moderators can verify and edits runs, as well as edit the leaderboard

• Not 100% sure on Super Mods, but I believe that they're just mods that can also add and remove moderators, and add Super Mods.

No that's not true. Communities giving a form to fill for people to be a verifier, or even rarer a mod, is only a thing in very rare circumstances where a very large amount of runs comes in in a very short amount of time (e.g. Subway surfers).

This community won't put out requests for mod publicly, specific people will instead be privately reached out to and asked if they want to be mod in the case that a new mod is needed. Those people that are reached out to are usually well trusted, and have a strong understanding in the game. Skill level is not a determinant for being a mod, although people who have a strong understanding of the game are usually highly skilled.

Alternatively, if you submit a game to speedrun.com and it gets put onto the site, you'll automatically be put as a super mod to start off with.

Keucher mod is a modified version of the game that you can use as a practice tool.

Keucher mod is not allowed to be used in speedruns that you're submitting to the leaderboard. If you want to submit a run, do the run on an unmodified, standard version of the game.

• Survey_Program (Chapter 1 only demo)
• Chapter 1+2 Demo (Any official version, including steam only versions like 1.14 and 1.15)
• Chapter 1+2 Demo v1.09 (Have the runs separated from all other versions)

Spamton NEO% pairs with the previously main board category Jevil%, Egg% is similar to Potassium%, but it features both chapters and some minor route changes. Potassium% would literally be All Bosses without the bosses or Main Route NMG without the 2nd half of Cyber Field and Swan Ride onwards and with a glitch that's already used in Main Route Glitched as a variation or in All Bosses as a complete replication, it shows nothing of significance.

We’ve recently added new verifiers and we are not in need to add any more.

Verifiers are also typically people who are somewhat active in the community and have a strong understanding of the game.

There’s nothing against taking a break during the run, however the timer won’t stop if you take a break. The run must also be one constant recording with no missing footage (e.g. You can’t have 5 minutes of missing footage where you’ve taken an break).

Survey Program has some easier encounter skips and faster very advanced methods of encounter skips in Maze Bloxxer and Rudinn Ranger that are impossible in the CH1+2 demo.

CH1+2 demo had some lag in both chapters, which is now gone since 1.08 I believe, CH1=2 Demo doesn't need to pick up WP, versions prior to 1.08 has an attack in King that gives about 50TP extra in Demo than survey program when grazed well and in 1.09, there is a Save Wrong Warp (SWW) that saves 19 seconds in fields.

Survey_Program is faster if you're going for the really difficult methods to skip Maze Bloxxer and Rudinn Ranger, they're about the same if you don't do those strategies and the CH1+2 demo is faster in 1.09 however 1.09 is currently seperated from the main CH1 leaderboard in one of the misc categories.

What I do is play CH1 until you exit the bed, then a file should've been created called DELTARUNE in your %localappdata% folder. So you can use the search bar on your computer to open that folder and then you can import one of the savefiles on the resources page and your game shouldn't be true reset anymore

There is still discussions in what the mods are going to do. Currently, there’s discussion about making a No Major Glitches category, meaning no Mansion warp or SWW (save wrong warp, the broken thing in 1.09) but there’s still discussions going around.
