@Bluestonex64 I think I did it around when I was 14, so I had like infinite energy. I did that before ingesting caffeine in any form (soda, coffee, etc.). Back then I would game for extremely long periods of time since school was beyond easy, so I'd adjusted to not really feeling the affects of longer sessions with little sleep until the day after / when I was in school. That being said, the day after (staying up for around 42 hours w/ 38 being that game) I straight up slept for over 24 hours, which I only know because my parents were considering calling emergency services thinking I was in a coma.
I mean even for proven stuff like YT if you truly wanna be safe it doesn't hurt to have it backed up somewhere else.
@ExtraLargeGunMan try factory resetting your PC, it's possible you changed something without knowing. Just make sure to back up anything important first obviously.
@ExtraLargeGunMan first off, check task manager around those areas, it's likely most of your CPU/GPU is being used for it. Secondly, simply go into task manager and set the priority of livesplits to the highest priority you can make it, this will make it so livesplits will be insured to run good even if it makes your game stutter instead, but with how little RAM it uses, it likely won't change much.
Considering the official launch of SRC was march 2014 according to this random article I found off google and @RWhiteGoose joined Janurary 21, 2014 that's a pretty good guess.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know who the first 'member' (non-staff) of SRC was?
38 hours of brawl at some point, not sure exactly what I did for those 38 hours since my memory is shit and this was years ago
I'm thinking of doing an extremely long (and therefore slow speedrun). How would you go about doing that? Do you just need to constantly keep recording segments and uploading it? Most sites have a limit on what they save and if streaming, there's a good chance stream would end sometime in those 41 days. I have the means of making a game run and whatnot during that time, but how should I document/record it?
After talking about it for awhile, we decided that if it appears that you use that info. to your advantage that your run will be invalid (even though this is a kinda sucky decision to make). So if it's a pick a pipe or something or you have a hidden door hidden somewhere and someone talks about it in chat, and you then go in that door/pipe, your run will be invalid. We figured this would be fair since most people wouldn't play through a RNG heavy level in the first place in most runs, or if they do they'd likely enter a pipe before it is mentioned. I'd recommend simply just reading chat during channel transitions/endings only to try and avoid this, but it's up to you how much you trust chat.
Please read through the FAQs: https://www.speedrun.com/speedrunning/thread/pt010
You did a run after I called you out lmao. Notice how my post is from "1 week ago" but your run is from 5 days ago?
I use a simple tool know only to a handful of people known as 'adblock'.
What game? You basically tell them what runs you think people will do of your game. If it's just any% that's all you gotta put.
