So there is this glitch in MySims DS and @MelonSlice and I are testing it. It's a glitch you can get out of bounce and walking in the void.
For now, we can't find anything how this glitch could help us in the run. Save+quit, opening menu etc. So do you guys have any tips to find out if a glitch is useless or useful?
I know every glitch is different, but tips to properly test a glitch? What do you do when you find a glitch and you are testing it over and over again?
So I heard you can replace the HDD of your PS2/PS3/PS4 system to a SSD.
But why is it allowed to do so? Isn't this rebuilding your console system? I could also force PAL60 but this seems banned.
Maybe a weird comparison, but I feel it's weird to allow changing hardware of your console from HDD to SSD when other stuff isn't allowed ^^" (yes you can upgrade your PC to SSD but I think PC isn't in the category console)
It's basically modifying console? Anyone knows why this is allowed in some games? Thanks!

I enjoy to run games which aren't popular. Sometimes I see boards with only 1 runner and it always make me wonder if they want someone else to run their favorite game and talk about strats etc.
So, do you have a game you run and looking for more runners? Reply and I will run it :) (If I don't have the game I can't run it ofcourse)
What I am looking for:
- The current route should be learnable in a day
- Time doesn't matter
- ~ 5 runners or less who did a run of it.
- Console doesn't matter
- Atleast 1 run

Maybe my Google skills aren't the best, but I was wondering which model of the DS is the fastest to run DS games. (not 3DS games)
My guess would be New 3DS. But what about the Phat, Lite, i or the old 3DS?

I was wondering about this 'All' tab. Sometimes the boards has seperated tabs for every console version and I lose track of how many people actually run the game.
So I stumbled onto the Paper Mario boards and I saw this 'All' tab. I think it's a great way to seperate the boards but also shows you every run done in any%.
But does this mean if we want this All tab, we have to submit the run twice? Or could it be an option? Like: Show all subcategory runs in 1 tab.
Perhaps a feature request? ^^" Thought it was awesome.

So... I stumbled on the MySims leaderboards and when clicking through it, I was annoyed there were many tabs. Some empty, some filled with 1 runner.
I do understand the many boards and categories in World of Warcraft for example. But doesn't it annoy you when you want to check a childhood game and stumble on those many boards and categories? Maybe it is just me. ^^

I couldn't really find an answer to this question. But when you want to record your DS with a camera, does both screens have to be on screen to have a legal run?
I do have a New 3DS I can download homebrew on to capture it, but I don't know if it's worth the risk.
Any other tips are welcome how to capture my DS without buying a capture card!

I am a little confused about speedrunning a Playstation 1 game on a Playstation 2 or Playstation 3. Even if you still use the PS1 disc I think the load times are slightly faster on a Playstation 3 console. Not every game works with Load times on the leaderboard so I don't know which platform I need to choose.
For example: I use my 102 Dalmatians PS1 disc on my PS3 console to speedrun. Does this mean I speedrun this game on a PS1 eventhough it's on a PS3? Or does this mean my speedrun isn't 'legal'?

I unmodded myself because I thought it was a way to delete this game because I dont want to be a moderator of this game anymore. But I didn't know the game would be here unmodded. Could a moderator delete this game? :) Or assign it to an other member who likes to mod it

I was wondering if it's legal to make another account on this site. I do want to run some games and keep the records but I don't like it if my account gets full of random records from games I tried. Or is there a way to hide runs from your profile?
