I ran this game a while ago for a very short period (thinking of coming back to it actually :p ) and yes it is somewhat annoying that you already have a garanteed timeloss compared to the "better" version. But as yossy pointed out this was established long time ago and as of yet there hasnt been a single person who could have achieved WR if not for playing the wrong version. Ive always been in favour of displaying what version was played to atleast have somewhat of an idea of who was playing what. In the end tho the boards decide and you will always have ideas and opinions that you dont agree with. So yeah welcome to speedrunning :)
But what would the point be for a new category? I cant stairskate like pessimism (hope he doesnt read that i gave him a compliment) but that doesnt mean i couldnt enjoy this run and get a nice PB. in the end most runners run for a personal best. Only the very few are dedicated to grind and practice games for hours and hours to get that top ranking/WR and thus the opinion of those runners should be respected above all.
Lets be honest adding mods/turbo or whatever else that there is out there is silly. You run the game and only the game and thus there should be no need for anything else. while this covers more then just the turbo for this game people just need to realize its part of this run and stop comparing themselves with top runners. Play it yourself, try your hardest and get those sweet pb's.
I have and you really overestimate the amount that asked for a knifeless category. not to mention overestimating the amount that look into category extensions. As stated before theres only like a handful of people on this side of the board so why bother with putting in even more categories? And yet again NOTHING is stopping you from running the game the way you want.
Not only that but how bout you do an actual knifeless run and show it on the board. maybe a video of said run could pursuade people in charge.
So you're saying admins/mods and famous runners added their vote? Where and when was this vote taking place lol. Also i see none of those commenting and screaming for this no knife to be added. Like Maxy said there is nothing stopping you from doing such a no knife run and posting it on one of your social platforms.
Wait have you ran the hg only run? in the end category extensions just arent that popular. even the knife only which has always been a great run on all RE titles including this one isnt that popular.
Yeah was wondering the same if they are still there cus mine in the category extensions page dissapeared from the pending list. So ofc submitted it again only to find out it dint show again lol
Even tho last post was from a year ago. But i got the same problem now and I had a run awaiting verification for RE2R but it dissapeared so tried submitting it again. Now that page just remains blank.
The last game where it mattered was RE7 but now you can have whatever language you prefer :)
Hmm yeah seems mine has stopped working also.
No run is being verified right away. You are in a que and just need to be patient.
The mods are doing a good job considering the amount of people that run this. I mean heck if it were upto me i would even give priority to certain runs if for example they are a WR run but thats just me :p
