Amazingly the Low% record got untied again, to 29 seconds.
- The new record skipped the next second barrier, missing 30 completely somehow
- The runner @Sharkking1515 starts way further up the stairs (gains visibility) way later than any other runner of the category thus far.
- The game freezes erratically before the run for a long time, then again at 0:31, which is really odd.
- They don't leave the house as soon as possible, when the owner comes back, they wait around in the house for a second or two. Despite these factors, it's still an enormous record and I have no idea how these factors didn't reduce the time. I don't think it's intentionally cheated but it's surely not a valid game state, if you retime the run from first visibility, manually, you get a time of 31.103 seconds (if we're being really generous).
There's just no way the real length of this run is 29 seconds, although I don't understand how the game calculated such a time

If you're unable to access the original game, and there's no solution after speaking in the server about it, or you prefer running a clone/replicate game of Piano Tiles 2, it might be eligible for its own leaderboard!
Follow the directions here if you're interested in setting one up (clone games are different from the original PT2 by CheetahMobile, to request a leaderboard) https://www.speedrun.com/piano_tiles/thread/tgxhh
There is kind of an answer to this question in general Least effort/pure RNG world record, with that: The Graveyard's survival% category I suppose https://www.speedrun.com/the_graveyard#Survival
Very few of the page's "most active" games are mobile games, but if you like, you can organise them with the platforms filter in the top left.

On that note the absence of a board doesn't prevent people from doing speedruns, It'll make it less interesting in most cases I grant you but I know from experience that a google form or something is completely fine for games that won't be accepted onto the site. And believe me, the player base doesn't count for anything next to the accepted rules. Just as someone who knows a bit about Zomboid, even though it seems unfair, it shouldn't have a place on the site when so many other games with similarly arbitrarily defined goals have been rejected. There are probably other people out there who speedrun aspects of it already though, without a board, because as you say the game has a large player base.
But as Pear's said, don't submit it multiple times when the rejection reason has a problem with the game-state itself, it won't be accepted.

If you fancy having a timer, which is always fun, LiveSplit or WSplit work brilliantly - Livesplit is especially good because it has a load of setup tutorials available and OBS plugins for transparency and image customisation etc.
- You shouldn't need a timer in general unless the game rules stipulate it
- I'd make your hotkey for splitting/stopping/starting the timer something you wouldn't accidentally hit or usually use in the game. For a lot of my games, I use middle mouse, and for others I use backspace, but it's all preference.
- When the speed run ends, It doesn't really matter what happens to the timer after it's been stopped unless you want to attach splits to the run with https://splits.io/ but again this isn't essential at all.
Apologies because I know this has already been discussed and in all probability answered, but with a video showcase is the formatting of runs below it fixed? As in I can't make it look any less horrible - it's not really a problem but I'll remove the front-page video if so.
If for some reason anyone finds this forum and would like:
- VR specific categories
- PvE gamemodes Let me know on this thread!
@TheDoctorBlue I do think you've raised some interesting points, but as far as I can understand boosting just provides three active members with ad-free browsing and doesn't promote the game; if e-begging becomes a problem as anticipated it's probably for the wrong reasons.
