A timer on any speedrun is greatly encouraged when possible, regardless of timing method. When a timer isn't visible, frame count is usually accurate enough but requires more work on moderators (and possibly manipulable).
I did just do some testing on this; Poochies's run was about 2.6 seconds faster than GBHmichael's. I'm thinking the game measures in-game time by frame count, so a slower computer would have the in-game timer run slower. The site's milliseconds option is frustrating. It has to be enabled for the entire game which can look ugly, and in cases where a time is exactly x seconds, it doesn't display .000 on the time. It got to the point I had to forgo recording milliseconds on the site and just measure them on a local database I have.
[quote=GBHmichael]Many of my old runs were done on an old, weak computer, so some do contain noticeable lag (take Allies Mission 9 for example). I reckon the in-game timer is the best option we have available as it removes any sense of ambiguity.[/quote]That seems contradictory. A slower computer would have the benefit of letting a runner have more time to react to situations. That's part of the reason why I opted to use in-game RTA for the rest of the series, letting it account for things like pausing.
Mario Kart 64 is infamous for this because of the PAL version running slower yet still altering the times to compare to NTSC, despite how they're not comparable.
Frame stepping and watching the timer is usually the best method. If there's no timer, check the frame count and divide that by the framerate.
Were notifications for old added runs disabled? That was one of the main reasons why I follow games, to know if there's been a run at all. I really hope it's just a bug.
Hi, just ask here: https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/frjsy/45
I can, but at a later date. If someone is willing to do it now, be my guest.
@houseparty420 You can edit your own run. On the run page there's a button on the top right corner to do that. With the current timing method the run is what LiveSplit says, 2:36:05 (2 second late split).
I can't wait to see bit cups on nearly every stream. [small][small][small]/s[/small][/small][/small]

They go unnoticed for long if they just post in series forums.
Could CornfordCaster be removed from the games he moderates? He hasn't been on in an awfully long time or have any runs. I don't have anything against him, I know he wants to run one someday, I'm just cleaning up the Command & Conquer series.
Added a Multiple Command & Conquer Games 'game' for this. Will have my 'run' of RA2 and YR on it soon.
I have my doubts "Attack of the Mods" will be a thing. Both Twisted Insurrection and Mental Omega are going to have a LOT of missions overtime, making running even both of them unfeasible.
[quote=emeraldaly]WR for one of my games -> http://www.speedrun.com/run/6yjww1dm
(seriously, look at the dates)[/quote]To be honest with that kind of layout I would have taken that long too.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjpjO3B4f2ioEv7_2godqxaH9Nd8O803R Going off bh guy's segmented run, it's easily possible for the game to be done in under one hour, making the game more accessible for prospective runners. I'll be adding more of the YouTube runs to the level leaderboards soon.
If something like that were to be added it wouldn't be called "Cheat%". Don't put percentage signs after non-numbers or representations of numbers. But until someone does do a run of such I don't see the point in adding it now.
A FAQs section next to the forums button would work even better.
